# 5 – And an astrological update from Chris Flisher…

An Intellectual Revolution

The most important alignment for the month of March will be the co-joining of Mercury, Uranus and the Sun all in the early degrees of restless, spring-bound Aries. As Mercury stations and heads towards retrograde motion on March 12 we can expect all sorts of sparky, impulsive discussions surrounding key intellectual subjects. This is the fuel of revolution as Uranus the great rebel occupies a higher frequency than Mercury and elevates the common discussion to one of historical importance. To complicate the matter these planets will be in a square (90 degree) alignment to mighty Pluto in Capricorn. The confusion, revelation, and realization of what is occurring will be unavoidable  Much will need to be sorted as opinions vary and progress seems locked in quicksand. These are the times that try men’s souls, as the phrase goes. Why?

Uranus symbolizes the sporadic, cerebral quality of thought and change, while Mercury is the very embodiment of communication. Together they forge a unique conversation that may seem agitated and regressive. Mercury retrograde tends to send progress backwards as we stop and reconsider. In fact, any word with the prefix “re” works for this transit – re-view, re-consider, re-visit and so on. How does this unfold on the world’s stage? Looking at this dynamic combination in the United States it is actually quite easy to see the dialog regress as the topic of birth control, abortion, women’s right s and other “ancient” topics come back to the public discourse. This is not a political commentary, but rather a simple social observation. There is no judgment here; just watching the wheels go round and round.

Why, when we are immersed in a global economic quagmire, would politicians be speaking of long-resolved issues? Why do these topics appear again? Haven’t we been down this road years ago? Didn’t we solve the problem of contraception ages ago? Wasn’t that the 1960s? Why is this topic back on the headlines today? There is no historical value for these issues at this point in time. Been there; done that. The universe is not regressive, so this is a pathway that will surely work against progress.

This is a reactionary (Uranus) distraction of the highest order. By bringing this topic to the table AGAIN, the conversation shifts from the real issues. Because this topic is so emotional, it harbors deep fears/views/emotions in people and strikes at the very core of an age old problem that should never enter the conversation. This distraction will force us to come to divisive lines of opinion that will not unify but rather separate our collective consciousness. In an effort to display contrast, this conversation brings up a point that will surely draw a line between parties. Again, this is an observation and does not represent any political opinion on my part. “Just the facts m’am;” so to speak.

The distractibility of this type of tense angle will indeed force the issue of a resolution. Resolution may come at the cost of progress as unnecessary media cycles churn away at explosive and inflammatory issues when all we really need to do is start working and get our jobs done. There is nothing easy, but simple problem resolution is required. As we see moderate politicians leave the arena we know we are in trouble. History (not opinion) has repeatedly shown that the way forward is straight down the middle. The middle way is the spot where true compromise comes to the fore and diplomacy rules, leaving both sides feeling as if they gained. The byproduct of this gain is in fact a step forward for the person in the street.

How do we resolve this and elevate the dialog to one that serves us better? We speak out and we act with goodness and optimism. Gently we move the dialog back to the points that we need to address. Pluto in Capricorn will drive significant foundational changes that will be triggered by reactionary Uranus and fueled by Mercury in retrograde motion for the large part of the month. Later in April the fog will clear and the past will look much different as will the future.

Week of March 5th

This week presents a time of intellectual spark as Mercury and Uranus join forces and forge a dynamic energy pattern that sends conversations into the unknown. We can expect sudden shifts in our thought process and brilliant flashes of insight and innovation. As both of these planets will be drifting through Aries we can expect some rather impulsive exchanges of words, ideas and discoveries. Aries tends to drive and initiate, so expect bold departures and unheard of proposals. There should be a tangible excitement that accompanies this type of energy so tap into it and ride the charge.

TIPS FOR TODAY:

# 1 – An astrological update on the current moon phase from Astrograph.com

LAST QUARTER MOON

The coming Last Quarter Moon, taking place on Tuesday, February 14th, Valentine’s Day, brings an interesting slant to this romantic holiday. This is because Venus, planet of relationship, is square to Pluto on this day, bringing up the dark side of relationships and of our human motivation in general. This lunar phase is traditionally in any case is a time for deep reflection, a time when we will search our souls for a better take on the meaning of recent events and for what is truly going on with our lives. This of course applies to the more obvious and surface meaning of events, with plenty to look at even in this regard. But then there is the underlying meaning – and several different aspects of that meaning – and it is this deeper level that might in the early days of this week become more readily available to consciousness and reflection.

We are accustomed to the importance of dream life and inner imagination, and what clues these complex messages from the subconscious can provide us for better understanding ourselves. And it is helpful to note that so-called real life can also be interpreted in much the same way, at a symbolic level; providing thereby necessary clues to understanding. Our deepest desires are seldom really known to us without extensive examination, and this time period therefore provides us with some necessary fuel for that journey of exploration. This needn’t be so dire but it might be that issues do arise for us to look at more closely within the area of relationship: issues such as possessiveness, jealousy, or the fierce currents of desire represented by compulsion and obsession.

If untoward events associated with the important relationships of our lives do transpire it will be for the useful purpose of bringing to greater consciousness some of the deeper areas of our psyche. This is especially true with the coming week’s events since Mercury crosses into nebulous Pisces on Monday, the day before the Quarter Moon, there to conjunct Neptune and to begin to conjunct Chiron, reaching it by Thursday. Therefore from Tuesday onward a process is initiated revealing to our conscious minds the places within us where we might exhibit behavior patterns resulting from earlier wounding, perhaps going as far back the parenting we received in early childhood. And these patterns can color our relationship experiences in the present moment.

The prescription for this time period then is to watch and wait; to let our unconscious process reveal itself to us without judgment and with as little drama as we can manage. Taking the largest possible picture into account we can begin to see where the value is, in providing the necessary raw material for advancing our progress. We go notch by notch and step by step, spiraling upwards around the mountain of our inner soul-assignment in movement toward the spiritual destiny that we secretly crave.

# 2 – It’s been almost a year since the nuclear radiation disaster in Japan happened. You don’t really hear anything in the news about it these days, but that doesn’t mean the situation has gone away….

http://www.naturalnews.com/034948_Fukushima_radiation_arctic_mammals.html

# 3 – And speaking of radiation, here’s an interesting article from the Natural News newsletter by Cheryl McCoy of AboutClay.com about uses for bentonite clay in dealing with radiation….

There has been a lot of press lately about radiation from the Fukushima disaster being found in our food supply. Many people around the world are being told to avoid drinking milk and eating vegetables due to the contamination. Even though our government is downplaying how widespread this contamination is and the health risks this could create, we should all be taking precautions to protect ourselves. No one wants to be exposed to any avoidable radiation. Calcium Bentonite Clay has been proven to adsorb and remove radiation. Washing your produce in a solution of Calcium Bentonite Clay and water will remove radiation, as well as pesticides and other toxins.

How does Calcium Bentonite Work?

Calcium Bentonite Clay has a uniquely strong negative ionic charge. When activated with water it works like a strong magnet, adsorbing and absorbing anything with a positive ionic charge (i.e., toxins, pesticides, radiation). The clay captures these substances and removes them as the clay is eliminated or washed off.

To remove radiation from your produce, Perry A~ Arledge, author of Living Clay, Nature’s Own Miracle Cure, recommends starting with liquid clay. This is Calcium Bentonite Clay mixed with water at a ratio of 1 part clay to 8 parts water. In a large non-metallic bowl, mix 1/4 cup of liquid clay with 1 quart of water. Toss your fruits or vegetables in this clay water making sure they’re completely covered and let them sit for about 10 minutes. Rinse and dry them, and store them as you normally would.

You can add Calcium Bentonite Clay to your milk and drinking water if you’re concerned about the possibility of contamination there as well. Add approximately 1 ounce of liquid Calcium Bentonite Clay to a gallon of organic raw milk or water. Some people prefer to let the clay settle to the bottom of the liquid and discard that portion, while others prefer to shake it up and drink them together. Either is fine. Once a contaminant is ‘caught’ by the clay it will not be released, and the clay cannot be digested by your body. All contaminants adsorbed by the clay will be removed upon elimination. And it’s always a good practice to take one to two ounces of liquid Calcium Bentonite Clay twice a day, to keep your body detoxed.

Will any clay work?

No. When choosing a healing or detoxing clay, there are several criteria that should be followed. You want to choose an all natural, non-processed clay that is very pure and uncontaminated, with a pH of 8.5 or above. And you want to buy from a reputable company that provides quality control testing and professional packaging and has people available to answer any questions you might have. While Calcium Bentonite Clay will not interfere with the vast majority of medications, if you’re taking medication, check with your pharmacist to make certain it contains nothing that the clay would adsorb.

# 6 – And it’s always nice to end on a little Abraham, especially in any blog posts mentioning radiation :-)…

“It is not attention to lack of wellness that makes you sick. It is attention to the lack of many things… Chronic attention to unwanted things holds you in a place of disallowing your physical well-being, as well as disallowing the solutions to other things you are focused upon. If you would focus your attention upon the experience of physical well-being as much as you focus upon the absence of it, not only would your recovery come quickly, but maintaining your physical well-being and balance would also be easy.”— Abraham

TIPS FOR TODAY:

# 1 – The latest astrological update from Astrograph.com

January 16th Last Quarter Moon

This Last Quarter Moon, taking place in the early morning hours of Monday, January 16th, ushers in a week-long period of reflection when we are profitably engaged in mulling over the events that have transpired during the previous three weeks of the SunMoon cycle. There is likely to be plenty of food for thought for each one of us, as indicated by the powerful symbolism of the starry messengers that we rely upon for cosmic guidance as we attempt to navigate these intense times. As we slow down to take stock during this last phase of the Capricornlunation, we are also brought into thoughtful re-alignment by the SaturnNeptune trine that is still quite active as Neptune begins to slip toward its entrance into its own sign of Pisces over the next few weeks. The dour restriction of Saturn is coming from a more realistic place than numinous Neptune, and tends to bring his fanciful flights down to earth, but this is not necessarily always so. The imaginative and cosmically sensitive outer planet energy of Neptune can equally hold sway and tend to confuse the practicality of the situation so that it is difficult to tell at any particular moment which end, so to speak, is really and truly up.

Saturn is strongly configured at this juncture, since it is conjuncted by the Moon and squared by the Sun just as it slows down, preparing to retrograde early next month, and comes within 2 degrees of an opposition to Jupiteras it does so. This is another powerful planetary amalgam, even though this last pass opposition to Jupiter never completes; in the weeks to come, Saturn retrogrades in the final degree of Libra and Jupiter moves on in Taurus. Over this period there could be reminders of the last time these two planetary archetypes were opposed, in late March of 2011, so that echoes of issues that were brought up at that time might return to haunt us in these next few weeks as Saturn makes its transition.

We are tuning to the inner in more ways than one, since Chiron in early Pisces is conjunct Neptune, and is also activated by Venus and by Mars during this interesting time period. Relationships are on our minds, and as well the personal blueprints of connection that we bring to the table of each potential interaction, scripts that are anchored in the past but not set in stone there, because we have the ability, by looking more closely into these ancient patterns, to recognize the places inside where we are stuck, and to move beyond them.

All these planetary combinations speak to the polarity of inner versus outer, and we win when we acknowledge the power of both of these modes of living and of soulful inquiry. There is neither one nor the other that is more important or more relevant for our day-to-day activities and decision making. When we accede to our deepest promptings we emulate wholeness and our outer lives proceed in greater alignment with what Spirit is asking of us. And when we take the time to examine more fully our internal motivations and past actions, we proceed with greater confidence and with renewed vigor into the unfolding joy of each present moment.

# 2 – An insightful and inspiring article from Guy Finley. I especially like this part…

“Real power, real fearlessness, is knowing that there’s only one reason life changes as it does: it is to reveal the secret Goodness underlying those same changes. Can we see how the realization of such a truth would have to spell the end of fear?”

For a free Starter Kit from Guy and his Life of Learning Foundation, go here.

# 3 – This great quote from Abraham seems to tie in nicely with the message in the Guy Finley article…

“A belief that the behavior of others must be controlled—so that your observation of that good behavior will make you feel good—leaves you feeling vulnerable to their behavior.

We would like to help you to understand that neither the good feeling you find when you observe wanted behavior, nor the bad feeling you find when you observe unwanted behavior, is actually the reason that you feel good or bad. The way you feel is only ever about your alignment, or misalignment, with the Source within you. It is only your relationship with the Source within you (with your own Inner Being) that is the reason for the emotions that you feel.

While it is nice to find things in your physical environment that enhance your good-feeling alignment with yourInner Being, your understanding of why you feel good will make it possible for you to feel good regardless of the behavior of others.

Understanding that the way you feel is really about your Vibrational relationship with your Inner Beingwith the Source within you, with the expanded version of you who resides inside your Vortex—gives you complete empowerment and absolute freedom.— Abraham

TIPS FOR TODAY:

# 1 – Here’s the latest astrological update on the current full moon phase from Astrograph.com. Very insightful….

December 10th Full Moon

This Gemini Full Moon taking place on Saturday, December 10th, is special even if only because it is also an eclipse; the Lunar Eclipse that follows the recent extremely potent Solar Eclipse and New Moon of November 24th – they usually come in pairs. Additionally, this Full Moon makes aspects to the same planets that have been so prominent lately and that were emphasized at the time of the New Moon, namely Jupiter, Uranus and Chiron. These heavy-weights occupy the first degrees of, respectively, Taurus, Aries and Pisces, and therefore all aspect each other, while at the time of the Full Moon they are aspected as well by Mercury, Venus and for Jupiter, the Sun and Moon. Uranus is now direct in motion, having stationed on the day before, December 9th. Uranus is therefore as a consequence much stronger even than usual. This powerful Full Moon eclipse thus continues the activation of these rather intense planetary energies.
We can see their combination in several ways: Chiron, emphasized by its connection to Uranus and to Jupiter, represents the deepest reaches within us, areas where we have been wounded by earlier circumstances that were too difficult to handle at the time and so have become walled away. Since Mercury squares Chiron while Venus also makes an aspect to it, we might have the chance to become more conscious of these deep and hidden places within us, as events bring them more readily to mind.
Uranus with Jupiter is the possibility of brilliant ideas coming to the fore, just at the time when we most sorely need them. In the surrounding culture, for example, we have seen the dilemma of the Occupy movement forces running out of places to go and direction to follow, but not running out of rage at the system that has ignored their needs for many years. The establishment has been in knee-jerk reaction to that simmering set of concerns, and undecided on what approach to take. We will see many and varied off-shoots of reactions, and reactions to the reaction in the months ahead. And this is one way that astrology is helpful; by analyzing the upcoming configurations we can be sure that the protest is likely to get more, rather than less, intense.
In personal terms as well, there are many new ideas simmering just below the level of conscious awareness that might easily become more alive to our conscious minds over the course of this climactic end-of-year period. Our depths and a segment of our inner wounding might be revealed. While not necessarily pretty, this could be at least more real to us than ever before; and truth is its own kind of beauty. As Mercury comes closer to its December 13th station, we are all engaged in meditating sincerely on our evolving situation which is also the story in micro of an evolving civilization as well. In our personal lives, and in the life of the surrounding collective, may we reach for the highest.

TIPS FOR TODAY:

# 1 – Here’s Astrograph.com’s take on the current full moon phase….

The Full Moon of Thursday, November 10th – taking place at roughly noon on the West Coast – while intense, is almost deceptively quiet as well. So much is happening beneath the surface. It is in any case the nature of this phase to represent a flowering plateau of the driving vigor from the very beginning of the cycle, a balance point between the various forces surging around in support and in contrast to the originating impulse from the New Moon time. The push of that onrushing energy finds a comforting moment of calm.

This particular configuration also has Mars opposed to Neptune, reminding us of a more laid back and cosmic perspective on all our experiences. Mars is at the same time also contra-parallel to Neptune, so that their brief opposition – lasting about a week – is quite potent. Mars with Neptune brings idealism very much to the fore, and heightens our ability to align compassionately to others, with also the possibility in working that out of deception or self-deception.

The latent intensity comes from Uranus and Pluto, still square to each other and triggered by the Full Moonwhich makes minor aspects to each. Jupiter is also trine Pluto and in forming semi-sextile to Uranus. These powerful archetypal energies remind us that there are obviously still important changes that we need to make in our lives, and in the life of the surrounding society. The idealism that Neptune brings might enable a relatively peaceful transition in the direction that your Higher Self feels sure that it needs to go.

Mars is opposed to Chiron during this week also, and we may find that old patterns are rising up to haunt us, impeding our own confidence, self-worth and self-assertion, until and unless we can accept these wounded places within us at deep levels. We might need to integrate the driving force behind them, namely ancient trauma from the long-dead past; dead but not forgotten, or in many cases not forgiven either.

At some point it pays to recognize that we have a powerful ally in that wounded and split-off disobedient child, however disenfranchised it might seem to feel much of the time. When we can accept all our parts, and by implication some of the more difficult parts of others as well, we are enabling greater forward motion in our own best interest, and greater joy along our way.

And the latest from Risa’s astrology column in the Santa Cruz Good Times publication…

Everyone knows our sciences (and thus humanity’s life force) have been thwarted, hindered and obstructed, taken over (appropriated) by the forces of materialism, especially since Tesla’s time.
This week, Friday, 11/11/11, Thrive: What on Earth Will it Take, Kimberly and Foster Gamble’s film premieres on the Internet, worldwide, in 10 languages.  Look for it. Unveiled in the film are truths (physics of life) we sense and aspire toward yet have accepted as unattainable. The information in Thrive shifts humanity, polarized in unknowingness, into the Light of Knowledge. The “sensed beauty” of our world becomes a reality. This information in “Thrive” forms the foundation of our new culture and civilization.
In Ancient Atlantean times, when gods lived on Earth, the Hierarchy (great teachers, overseers of Earth) gave instinctual, non-thinking (the mind was not developed) humanity various inventions that allowed for the building of great cities and beautiful buildings (remnants exist today), temples, air machines, knowledge of sanitation, hygiene, foods, etc. Developed under the wise guidance of the Hierarchy, humanity thought of these inventions as “magic.” The Initiates & Adepts (levels within Hierarchy) employed their knowledge of the nature of matter and energy (physics), which today we would call “scientific discovery.” This “physics” (nature of energy) was a gift to humanity.
Eventually a crisis precipitated the flooding of the world—resulting from a clash between the forces of darkness/materialism and the Forces of Light (Hierarchy). Humanity, in between, perished, with a few, who carried the Light, entering Noah’s Ark.

Today, we are once more at this “crisis” point (a higher level of the spiral).

# 2 – Here’s an update on the radiation situation…

# 3- And a little Abraham to off-set any fear brought up thinking about radiation :-)

“Ask, and it is given” means that whether you are a full blossoming genius human, or whether you are the one-celled amoeba in the ocean, or a cell in one of your bodies, when it is concluded that something else is preferred (no matter how developed the consciousness is) every time a preference is noted, Nonphysical Energy rushes forth to answer it. It is the promise of our evolving beingness.”— Abraham

More on CFLs, radiation monitoring, Jo Dunning, Gemini New Moon, Be Good to Our Earth and more

TIPS FOR TODAY:

# 1 – For some stimulating information about the US radiation monitoring
system, read this eye-opening, mouthing opening article featured in the Natural
News newsletter…

EPA RadNet radiationmonitoring system exposed as poorly-maintained, improperly-calibrated failure

#2 –  I highlighted the hazards of CFL bulbs in a previous post. Here are two excerpts from articles that update and expand on the situation…

  • CFLs emit “dirty energy” that produces radiation that has been linked with migraine
headaches, sleep abnormalities, fatigue, and other health defects while the flickering of fluorescent bulbs causes dizziness,
headaches, weakness and illness in some sensitive people. And recently, a study
conducted by Peter Braun at Berlin, Germany’s Alab Laboratory found CFLs to
give off chemical vapors that are linked to cancer.CFLs also contain mercury, a neurotoxin that can damage the brain, liver,
kidneys and central nervous system. As long as the mercury is contained in the
bulb, CFLs are safe. But eventually bulbs break or burn out, even long-lasting
CFLs. When they do, “consumers simply throw them out in the trash,” said Ellen
Silbergeld, a professor of environmentalhealth sciences at Johns Hopkins University and editor of the journal Environmental Research. And this can have a collective effect on landfills once they start failing in large numbers. What can consumers do?

Philips may have solution with the EcoVantage, a new line of incandescent light bulbs that, using halogen elements, provide energy savings of about 28 percent compared to conventional incandescents. According to a report from Sustainable Life Media, this meets or exceeds efficiency standards established in the Energy Independence and Security Act (EISA) of 2007.

While not as efficient as compact fluorescent or LED bulbs, which supposedly
reduce energy use by up to 80 percent but are expensive, the EcoVantage is
likely to appeal to consumers unhappy with the quality of light of the more energy efficient models.

The new EcoVantage bulbs will be available exclusively at Home Depot. Learn
    more: http://www.naturalnews.com/032471_Philips_incandescent_light_bulbs.html#ixzz1N982ZdrI

  • Peter Braun, who performed the light bulb tests at the Berlin’s Alab Laboratory, said: “For such carcinogenic substances it is important they are kept as far away as
possible from the human environment.”CFL bulbs are already widely used both in the European Union and in the United
States. Thanks to a call by the EU government to phase out incandescent bulbs by the end of 2011, many households have converted to carcinogen-producing CFL’s under the guise of saving the planet with the “environmentally-friendly” bulbs. The health consequences of such widespread use are currently unknown, as the
results will only come with time. With an excess of cancer-causing chemicals
being pumped into the average household, an explosion in already-skyrocketing cancer rates may be the result. Despite the research coming out over the
negative health effects of the bulbs, The Department for the Environment still
insists that they are perfectly safe.On The Department for the Environment website it states: “Energy efficient light bulbs are not a danger to the public.”

Thanks to alternative news pushing the dangers of CFL’s into the mainstream,
and this vital new research, a growing number of people are recognizing the
dangers associated with using them. This leads the population to look for alternatives, as with any product that consumers do not want to purchase. The problem is, however, that government regulations threaten the consumer’s ability to purchase traditional incandescent bulbs that do not leak carcinogens into the air. Congress passed a law in 2007 mandating that bulbs producing 100 watts of light meet certain standards, which conventional light bulbs do not. The law goes into full effect by 2012, with California already banning stores from restocking on 100-watt incandescent bulbs. It seems that the other option — besides hoarding
incandescents before they are banned — is to purchase a new brand of LED
bulbs. The bulbs will cost $50 each, and they will escape the federal ban
due to being energy-efficient by the standards of the new law.

These LED bulbs may be more efficient and do not contain harmful substances,
but they simply are not affordable for the majority of consumers worldwide.
Government regulations have driven consumers to begin purchasing light bulbs
that will endanger their health and quite possibly give them cancer, as the alternatives may not be economically viable. While it may not be a simple issue to remedy, one thing is for sure: the health of the nation should not suffer due to poorly designed light bulbs that contain known carcinogens.

# 3 –  Here’s an insightful article about the upcoming Gemini New Moon and other astrological happenings that is being featured on MoonCircles.com…

Gemini New
Moon:

Taking Flight

by Simone Butler

“The pain pushes you until your vision pulls you.”– Rev. Michael Beckwith

Much of my newly inherited home is about to be demolished. A building inspection revealed toxic mold, and I was advised to leave before I became sick. The remodeling
process I’d hoped would happen in manageable phases is descending all at once.
I’m trying to keep my head on straight and enlist the right helpers, while receiving
a crash course in the intricacies of mold remediation, plumbing and electrical
systems.

On bad days, when I awaken at 4:30 a.m. with a pounding headache, I step outside for some fresh air and remind myself that, “This too, shall pass.” Soon, my vision of transforming my 1952 family home into a Mexican Mid-Century “villa” will come to pass. Meanwhile, this security-oriented Cancer is relocating nearby to supervise from a safe distance.

Welcome to eclipse season! And it looks to be a doozy. The June 1 partial solar eclipse in jumpy Gemini (2:03 p.m. PDT) gets things going, followed by a total lunar eclipse in Sagittarius on June 15 and another partial solar eclipse in Cancer on July 1. Eclipses are
known for bringing abrupt change, especially when they hit sensitive points in your chart (for example, the June 1 eclipse activates my Ascendant, point of physical self and location).

Adding to its catalytic potential, this eclipse series occurs during the final, Universal
Underworld of the Mayan Calendar. During this Ninth Wave (March 9 to Oct. 28),
according to Carl Calleman, time is accelerated 20-fold; we’ll experience the same amount of change as occurred from 1999 until a few months ago. Consciousness is rapidly evolving as dimensions merge and a new world is born. It’s our choice: adapt and flourish or resist and suffer.

Does something in your life need dramatic improvement? Since eclipses break
through stagnant patterns, now’s the time to align with the incoming energies
and make a change. Gemini promotes rapid-fire learning. Though this mental air
sign tends to be all over the place, a stabilizing trine from Saturn in Libra
to the June 1 New Moon eclipse helps to ground our visions so they can take flight.

If we stay focused, we can ride these energies like a hawk navigating strong winds.
However, because the Sun (masculine impulse) is eclipsed by the Moon (feminine
intuition) at the June 1 New Moon, we may feel as if we’re flying blind. This
sensation is intensified by Neptune (dreaminess) turning retrograde in square
to Mercury (the mind) on June 2. We may doubt our direction or second-guess
ourselves. Yet Saturn’s trine to the Sun and Moon says: Trust your intuition,
take action and things will work out–even if unpredictably.

On June 4, giant Jupiter enters practical, earthy Taurus. It’s time to get real about our
finances and figure out how to live sustainably on the Earth. Bringing special
blessings to those with prominent Taurus placements, this one-year cycle is
good for investing in land and developing realistic and artistic ventures.
Also, no-nonsense Saturn turns forward June 12 in Libra (good news for those
with strong Libra or Capricorn!), helping business affairs get going again. Add
to that a powerhouse lunar eclipse at the Galactic Center on June 15 that will
bring vital news and shifting points of view. And, the seasons change on June
21 as the Sun slides into sensitive Cancer at the Summer Solstice. It should
be quite a month.

Rapid-fire change can evoke the best or the worst in us. Even if we don’t know what to do
next or feel antsy and on edge, inquisitive Gemini reminds us that there is something to learn from pain as well as joy. Hold fast to whatever grounds you, from yoga practice to yard work. In these extraordinary times, we’re called to rise up into our highest selves, spread our wings and find the courage to fly!

Let’s
shift global consciousness

from instability and
discord

to balance, cooperation,
and enduring peace

We’ve launched a brand new initiative with Jeddah Mali, creator of Seeds of
Enlightenment
, and we invite you to participate as our guest at no charge.

The next event is Thursday, June 2, at 2:00 pm Central Time. You’ll be able to listen to a recording at any time.

Once each month we will focus our collective energy on global care – again at no charge—following this format:

1) A five-minute opening conversation.

2) A five-minute process to focus our hearts and amplify our collective intent.

3) An optional 20-minute meditation for when you have time.

Join us at www.BeGoodToOurEarth.org

Simply come to this webpage at the appointed time, log in, and join others in a meditation for the care of our planet. Best of all, you’ll see your position on a map of the world, and you’ll see where everyone else is, too, focusing their energy on the exact same purpose. You can even upload a photo of yourself. It is very cool!

Each session will be conducted live at 2:00 pm Central Time on the first Thursday of each month. Jeddah and I really hope you will join us.

If you cannot make the session live, you may listen to a recording of the most recent session at any time. Because there is great power in focusing collective energy toward a common cause at the same time, try to make one of the following times, which are at six-hour intervals after the live session:

www.BeGoodToOurEarth.org

This is a huge global effort, we know. And we’re beginning now. One person at a time. If we had 300,000 people online for one session we would have an instant, palpable effect on the world. Help us reach that many people. Invite your friends. And be online next Thursday at 2:00 pm Central Time. We’re doing it free to make it easy for you—for everyone—to say yes.

Please sign up today! Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

# 6 – And a little Abraham to end on…

“That “death do us part” thing is a protective mechanism. It says, “I don’t trust me, and I don’t trust you to be in a place where we are evoking the best from each other. And so, just to make sure, let’s promise that even if we don’t, we’ll suffer it out together.” Every law, sacred or secular, that we have ever seen in your environment has always come from a place of disconnection, from a place of protectiveness.”—Abraham

Best wishes,

# 3 – Even though the full moon has passed, I wanted to share this inspiring and insightful newsletter and astrological update from shamanic astrologer Tami Brunk…

Dear Friends,

From conversations with friends and clients many of us are experiencing immense fear and anxiety for the future. Of course we are. It is becoming clear to many of us that the very future of our species and our life-sustaining planet are at a threshold on many fronts–whether we are looking at climate change, exponential rates of extinction, or rapid decimation of healthy ecosystems.

How do we look with clear eyes at these devastating trends and not succumb to overwhelm and immobilization? It is hard enough to look at these biological/environmental (not to mention and economic, sociological political) trends and not experience despair. Yet it is the unknown that most terrifies us.

There are many prophets and seers emerging at this time who are predicting very dire and extreme conditions in our very near future. In one extreme example, a Christian sect predicts that this Saturday will be the “rapture” where God’s chosen will rise into the sky leaving the world behind in ruins.

In the New Age, there are individuals who are prophesying earthquakes in the US, and many other disasters. Some spiritual teachers are saying all food in the U.S. is contaminated with radiation–don’t eat local, only eat what comes from South America. And of course, certain adherents to the Mayan Calendar forecast all kinds of dramatic happenings on December 31, 2012.

I listen to these things and feel frustrated, because I don’t think the future is set in stone, and I don’t think anyone can “know” exactly what will happen a week, or 6 months from now at the global scale. We have become so good at worrying about the things we have no control over (including an uncertain future) that we have forgotten to respond to what is actually within our control.

So let’s take a deep breath. Let’s look around and see who is near us, let’s consider who and what we can pray for and send light to. Let’s consider what actions we CAN take to create the kind of future we’d like to live in.

Let’s center ourselves and know that we are equipped for these times, and that there is still a great deal of beauty, joy, love, courage in this world. Let’s not waste our time in worry, but instead, live each day as fully as we can.

Week of May 17 to 22Scorpio Full Moon

We are still resonating with yesterday’s Full Moon in Scorpio, which has been so gorgeous and bright for the past two nights. Venus is currently in a Scorpio cycle, and the Full Moon energy is still permeating our world, so we are really feeling the Scorpio dynamic. These past couple of days many of us have been feeling acutely aware of the overwhelming destruction and death occurring across the globe.

I’ve recently been jolted into realizing the horrifying extent to which the living creatures in our oceans are dying due to toxic agricultural runoff, oil spills in the Gulf of Mexico and across the globe as well as dispersants that have obliterated many forms of ocean life. Now the ocean surrounding Japan are contaminated with nuclear radiation, which is expected to continue leaking from the plants for up to 6 more months.

I’ve experienced such a strange mix of emotions and impulses over the past week. I’ve felt so strongly the Aries desire to charge forward and affect change in my community. Yet part of what happens when we take action to influence the world as it is, we bump into the resistant, dense patterns of inertia that have held things in place as they are–functional or not.

So these last days I have been feeling the bruises of this “bumping up against what is,” as well as a flood of grief and sadness over the immense devastation of the waters, soil, air, creatures, and wellbeing of human communities. Sometimes I feel very small and ineffectual when I consider the scale of things, and when I meet initial resistance to change.

What Scorpio can teach us is the value of surrender. It is important for our sanity and wellbeing to recognize that there are so many things we have absolutely no control over. Once we realize this, we can access the wise Aries/Scorpio synthesis which says-okay, but this is what I CAN do.

I can’t just apply my will and ambition to instantly remake the world as I’d like it to be. But I can practice living more from my heart, seeing every day as precious, always moving closer to my goals and appreciating that even if I fail this time, or miss the mark in some way, I am better for having tried, I have learned something new, and I am closer to my heart’s desire than if I had not taken the risk.

Of course there is also the spiritual dimension of change which Neptune and Chiron in Pisces can invoke within us. In situations and circumstances over which we have no direct control, we can choose to send light, love and healing.

Spotlight on Relationships

The balance is now tipping from Aries to Taurus now that Sun, Mars, Venus, and Mercury are in the sign. So even as Jupiter and Uranus remain in Aries, driving us forward toward our independent mission and goals; we are feeling the desire to slow down and connect personally and with sweetness with others.

Also, from the first of May to June 12, Venus and Mars are within 10 degrees of one another. Early this coming Monday, May 23, they are conjunct.

Within Shamanic Astrology there is the understanding that Venus and Mars go through distinct cycles in relation to each other-and that these cycles reflect relationship dynamics. The current Venus Mars dance began January of 2010 and ends June 12. It can be described as the Great Saga, the cycle where the two planets spend the most time visible near one another in the night and morning sky.

This cycle, compounded by Saturn in Libra (Saturn moved into Libra just 2 months before the Venus/Mars cycle began) has been a time of “making or breaking” many relationships. As my teacher Daniel Giamario puts it, relationships operating from the old paradigms of codependency, or rigid gender roles, etc., are not passing the test. And of course, there is also the simple fact of growth and change–sometimes we outgrow relationships that were for a time very healthy for us.

Despite the many breakdowns in relationships there have also been many breakthroughs. As we have been consciously choosing to activate and live from their greatest authenticity and aligning from that place, we have developed closer, more intimate relationships with our partners and other loved ones. We have also attracted new partners and friends who are fully resonant with our life purpose and mission.

This next month it is beneficial to consider what we are truly wanting to create in partnership, and how we can best support our loved ones on their own paths.

But the dance of Venus and Mars is not only an external affair. This is also a beneficial time for each of us to meditate upon the balance of masculine and feminine within our being, and to consecrate the sacred marriage–a full embrace of the masculine and feminine within.

And at the collective/inner level we are challenged to empower the universal masculine and feminine (beyond gender) dynamics within and without. The feminine aspect (beyond gender) is deeply immersed in the Earth experience, receptive, and skillful in the sensory and emotional realms. The masculine dimension is more expansive, detached, and focused on the big picture.

We are in the death throes of a masculine-oriented culture and our only hope for continued human thriving on Earth demands a re-integration of the feminine. We must activate our masculine capacity in service to a re-emergence of the Sacred Feminine. In other words we must use our intellect, our brilliance, our technology, innovative thinking and visioning to benefit the wellbeing of the Earth and future generations.

# 4 – And a little Abraham to end on…

“It usually takes about 30 days to change a habit. Not because you need 30 days. You could do it in 68 seconds if you could once you did it hold your vibration there, but you have to consciously make that decision.” — Abraham

Best wishes, “Zippy”

Scorpio full moon, a little Abraham, Dr. Caldicott on radiation and free QiGong healing session

TIPS FOR TODAY:

This must be the time of meltdowns, literally and figuratively. More than several of the people I know have actually described what is happening with them and their life as a meltdown. And today’s blog features several mentions of meltdown, as well….

# 1 – Here’s an article about the current Scorpio full moon phase we’re heading into. It not only contains some great insights and words of wisdom, but also actually refers to meltdowns…

Intuitive Message for the Scorpio Full Moon:
The Teachings of Darkness
by Julia Bondi

Look into the darkness. It is the spiritual New Year, the festival of the descent of the Buddha. Each year at this full moon, the festival of Wesak, the Buddha descends into a valley high in the mountains of Tibet to dispense the spiritual gifts for this new soul year. This is the spiritual high point of the year when our souls review the previous year and prepare for the coming year examining our interior world, who we are becoming, how we have evolved over the last twelve months, and what we seek to accomplish in the coming months. During this highly energized time, it is just as important to look into our fears, our pain, our stories, and our failures for our gifts and guidance as it is to look at our joys, our successes, our gains and our hopes.

In the spring of 1986, the nuclear reactor at Chernobyl melted down; in the spring of 2011 the nuclear reactors in Japan are melting down. Two Taurus/Scorpio full moons, two terrifying disasters. On both occasions the governments did not initially know or tell the public the full truth of the escalating tragedies. A quarter of a century later we now know that the Chernobyl disaster was the prelude to the Soviet Union reaching out to rejoin the rest of the world. What will Japan’s suffering offer to the Japanese people and to the rest of the world? Will this be the beginning of the end of nuclear power – both for energy and for destructive weapons?

The ongoing catastrophe at Fukushima is a look into the darkness of human arrogance. Splitting the atom to develop weapons of mass destruction, using this awesome power to provide electricity to our homes and industries rather than developing clean, safe, affordable power sources has been a tragic error. The USSR began to turn the corner onto a new path in 1986 allowing light into a system long closed to the needs of its citizens. It is now time for the world to turn the corner onto an accelerating path toward a sustainable world as we see into a system of weapons and energy that can and will destroy all of us. The light is now shining on the nuclear danger to our capacity to survive and thrive.

Disasters, horrors, tragedies, catastrophes, misfortunes, calamities, accidents and hardships all force us to look into the abyss, into the darkness. Scorpio governs the darkness, Taurus the illumination achieved by facing, feeling and integrating the darkness. We seek the light and often curse the darkness when the darkness is the path toward the light. It is all too easy, too lazy to turn away from the teachings of darkness. It is tempting to shout against our mistakes, our errors, our losses as if we should never have had to confront such agony. Each horror in our individual lives, in our collective lives is as painful as it genuinely is but it is also the grist of human growth, progress and awareness. Each error, even these current tragedies, is the result of the power we humans have developed. We are learning the lessons of the power to destroy. The power to destroy is also the power to transform, the power to become conscious of how powerful we and the universe are. It is time to look into the darkness to see our strengths in our failures; to expand our conscious use of power to light the world with enlightenment.

Enlightening report on the world situation, radiation update, Abraham and more

TIPS FOR TODAY:

I had the thought that today’s blog could be titled “The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly” because of the strange juxtaposition of radiation news (and the tale of deformed dandelions), with the enlightening We Are All Fukushima report, the praying mantis story, and words of wisdom from Abraham….

# 1 – This is an excerpt from a Natural News article by Mark Sircus, AC, OMD, title Death’ Door (Learn more: http://www.naturalnews.com/032251_Fukushima_radiation.html#ixzz1LICKb2zZ)

Radiation a Personal Account

“I am a retired biologist who used to work in radiation biology. Just wanted to share with you what we’ve been doing lately. We live in the mid-Atlantic area of the U.S. We have a Geiger counter and have been testing daily for radiation (am and pm) since the Fukushima incident. Since March 11, our numbers normally are 25-30 cpm inside and 31-35 cpm outside (Geiger counter sits at an open window). This is within background radiation numbers. When it rains, the numbers rise to about 35 cpm for inside and 40 cpm for outside. Our grass reads around 50 cpm. I noticed today after I did some weeding (sunny day) and washing my hands that they read around 50 cpm. I had to wash them 3-4 times before the reading went down.

“Also noticed a couple of dandelions looking abnormal (their stems were twice as thick as others and heads were joined). Never saw that before.

“We had ordered kelp granules from the company Maine Coast three weeks ago. We typically use kelp in our foods, and this was a bigger order than usual because of the nuclear incident. Just got the shipment today! We tested the bags of kelp for radiation and they tested 182 cpm! We called the company but they had their answering machine on, stating that they won’t be open until April 25th because they’re doing inventory. We plan to return the kelp! Noticed the expiration date is April 16, 2013, which makes us wonder if they filled the order after the Fukushima incident (maybe April 16, 2011?).
Patty”

# 2 – Also from Natural News, I highly recommend checking out the report titled We Are All Fukushima, which you can download here: http://www.naturalnews.com/032148_Fukushima_David_Rainoshek.html

It does a good job of giving an expanded overview of  current society, the world situation, and the cultural and spiritual causes of the Fukushima disaster.

# 3 – Here’s a sweet little parable in the form of a  bushman story, by way of Bocarus….

Once upon a time a praying mantis had a dream. When she woke up she wondered how she could make her dream come true. The next night the praying mantis again had the same dream.  When she woke up she again wondered how she could make her dream come true.

This went on night after night and day after day. Eventually one day she decided to ask all the praying mantises to dream the same dream. That night all the praying mantises indeed dreamed the same dream. When they woke up, lo and behold! Their dream had come true. The praying mantis learned that for a dream to come true, it must be a collective dream.

May we together dream a new world into being.

# 4- And to end on, more inspiration and stimulation from Abraham…

We practice the Art of Allowing. Which means reaching for the thought that feels best, not the thought that is the real thought, not the thought that is telling it like it is. Telling it like it is only holds you where it is: “Damn it, I’m going to tell it like it is. I’m going to tell it like it is, because everybody wants me to tell it like it is.” Tell it like it is if you like it like it is. But if you don’t like it like it is, then don’t tell it like it is—tell it like you want it to be. If you tell it like you want it to be long enough, you will begin to feel it like you want it to be. And when you feel it like you want it to be, it be’s like you want it to be.

There is no condition that you cannot modify into something more, any more than there is any painting that you can paint and not like and just paint over it again. There are many limiting thoughts in the human environment that make it feel like it is not so, as you have these incurable illnesses, or these unchangeable conditions. But we say, they are only “unchangeable” because you believe that they are.— Abraham
