PICK OF THE DAY:

Love it!

from Brandon Basile at The Art of Mental Creation

And this….

And I guess this will end up being an “All Picks Day” because I think this is great, too. It’s a list of 27 life-changing insights from Eckhart Tolle, and here’s the first one to get you started…

1. THE PRESENT MOMENT IS THE MOST PRECIOUS THING THERE IS.

“People don’t realize that now is all there ever is; there is no past or future except as memory or anticipation in your mind.”

“…the past gives you an identity and the future holds the promise of salvation, of fulfillment in whatever form. Both are illusions.”

“Time isn’t precious at all, because it is an illusion. What you perceive as precious is not time but the one point that is out of time: the Now. That is precious indeed. The more you are focused on time—past and future—the more you miss the Now, the most precious thing there is.”

“Don’t let a mad world tell you that success is anything other than a successful present moment.”

“Most humans are never fully present in the now, because unconsciously they believe that the next moment must be more important than this one. But then you miss your whole life, which is never not now.”

“As soon as you honor the present moment, all unhappiness and struggle dissolve, and life begins to flow with joy and ease. When you act out the present-moment awareness, whatever you do becomes imbued with a sense of quality, care, and love – even the most simple action.”

And check this out. A great tip from my Aussie friend Cheryl…..

And from Abraham….

From your human perspective, you often believe that you must work hard to overcome obstacles and satisfy shortages and solve the problems that are before you; but often, in that attitude or approach, you work against yourself without realizing it. Attention to obstacles makes them bigger and more stubborn; attention to shortages makes them bigger and prolongs them—and attention to a problem prevents any immediate resolution or solution.

And finally, I found this when Visualisations3 ended up deciding to give Evolution Made Easier a follow (thanks, guys!). I think what they’re doing is great….taking many of the personal and spiritual development things they come across that are written or presented in English and sharing about them in French for their friends and countrymen. I have listened to many Healing With the Masters broadcasts, but missed the one they talk about in their post (you can translate into English) about afformations, a brilliant concept from Noah St John….

# 7 – And from Abraham…

Someone has said, “the Universe has imagined it even better than you have.” And we like to add to that: The Universe got all of its information about what you like from you, and it has remembered every piece of it and has put it together in perfect formation. And so, the things that are on their way to you are so much better than you even know that you want. And as you allow them, the essence all of these things that the Universe knows that you are wanting make their way to you and appear in perfect timing for you.—Abraham

  • When should I take the tests?
  • How do I get them?
  • How do I interpret the results?
  • What if my results come back positive for a gluten-related disorder?
  • What testing options are available outside of the U.S.?

# 6 – This is a really good one for me to remember…

A feeling of being overwhelmed is your indicator that you are denying yourself access to all manner of cooperation that could assist you if you were not disallowing them.

As you begin to feel freer regarding the expenditure of time and money, doors will open, people will come to assist you, refreshing and productive ideas will occur to you, and circumstances and events will unfold. As you change the way you feel, you access the Energy that creates worlds. It is there for your ready access at all times.—Abraham

PICK OF THE DAY:

This is such a great article from The Huffington Post…at least in my opinion…that I didn’t just want to post a link to it  in hope that people may check it out…..

How to Get Flat Abs, Have Amazing Sex and Rule the World in 8 Easy Steps

The covers of most men’s and women’s magazines have similar headlines: “Get Great Abs” and “Have Amazing Sex.”

From the looks of it, these two issues have been recycled over and over (with some other stereotypically gender-relevant articles thrown in) on every Men’s Health, Maxim,Cosmopolitan and Glamour cover since the dawn of time. In fact, I’d bet that if we could get a better translation of cave drawings, they would read something like “Grok get flat belly. Make girl Grok moan with joy.”

And we keep buying them. We keep buying this lie that these things will make us happy. I’ve had washboard abs (past tense) and I’ve had some pretty phenomenal sex. Neither one made me a better person. Neither one completed me or made my life more fulfilling.

We chase this idea of “I will be happy when… “

I will be happy when I have a new car. I will be happy when I get married. I will be happy when I get a better job. I will be happy when I lose five pounds. What if instead we choose to be happy — right now?

If you can read this, your life is pretty awesome.

Setting aside our first-world problems and pettiness, if you are online reading this, you have both electricity and WiFi or access to them. Odds are you are in a shelter of some sort, or on a smart phone (and then kudos to you for reading this on the go). Life might bump and bruise us, it may not always go the way we plan and I know I get frustrated with mine, but here’s the thing: You are alive.

Because you are alive, everything is possible. So about those eight tips…

1. Stop believing your bullshit.

All that stuff you tell yourself about how you are a commitment phobe or a coward or lazy or not creative or unlucky? Stop it. It’s bullshit, and deep down you know it. We are all insecure 14 year olds at heart. We’re all scared. We all have dreams inside of us that we’ve tucked away because somewhere along the line we tacked on those ideas about who we are that buried that essential brilliant, childlike sense of wonder. The more we stick to these scripts about who we are, the longer we live a fraction of the life we could be living. Let it go. Be who you are beneath the bullshit.

2. Be happy now.

Not because The Secret says so. Not because of some shiny happy Oprah crap. But because we can choose to appreciate what is in our lives instead of being angry or regretful about what we lack. It’s a small, significant shift in perspective. It’s easier to look at what’s wrong or missing in our lives and believe that is the big picture — but it isn’t. We can choose to let the beautiful parts set the tone.

3. Look at the stars.

It won’t fix the economy. It won’t stop wars. It won’t give you flat abs, or better sex or even help you figure out your relationship and what you want to do with your life. But it’s important. It helps you remember that you and your problems are both infinitesimally small and conversely, that you are a piece of an amazing and vast universe. I do it daily — it helps.

4. Let people in.

Truly. Tell people that you trust when you need help, or you’re depressed — or you’re happy and you want to share it with them. Acknowledge that you care about them and let yourself feel it. Instead of doing that other thing we sometimes do, which is to play it cool and pretend we only care as much as the other person has admitted to caring, and only open up half way. Go all in — it’s worth it.

5. Stop with the crazy making.

I got to a friend’s doorstep the other day, slightly breathless and nearly in tears after getting a little lost, physically and existentially. She asked what was wrong and I started to explain and then stopped myself and admitted, “I’m being stupid and have decided to invent lots of problems in my head.” Life is full of obstacles; we don’t need to create extra ones. A great corollary to this one is from The Four Agreements, by Don Miguel Ruiz: Don’t take things personally. Most of the time, other people’s choices and attitudes have absolutely nothing to do with you. Unless you’ve been behaving like a jerk, in which case…

6. Learn to apologize.

Not the ridiculous, self-deprecating apologizing for who you are and for existing that some people seem to do (what’s up with that, anyway?). The ability to sincerely apologize — without ever interjecting the word “but” — is an essential skill for living around other human beings. If you are going to be around other people, eventually you will need to apologize. It’s an important practice.

7. Practice gratitude.

Practice it out loud to the people around you. Practice it silently when you bless your food. Practice it often. Gratitude is not a first world only virtue. I saw a photo recently, of a girl in abject poverty, surrounded by filth and destruction. Her face was completely lit up with joy and gratitude as she played with a hula hoop she’d been given. Gratitude is what makes what we have enough. Gratitude is the most basic way to connect with that sense of being an integral part of the vastness of the universe; as I mentioned with looking up at the stars, it’s that sense of wonder and humility, contrasted with celebrating our connection to all of life.

8. Be kind.

Kurt Vonnegut said it best (though admittedly, and somewhat ashamedly — I am not a Vonnegut fan): “There’s only one rule that I know of, babies — ‘God damn it, you’ve got to be kind.'”

Kindness costs us nothing and pays exponential dividends. I can’t save the whole world. I can’t bring peace to Syria. I can’t fix the environment or the health care system, and from the looks of it, I may end up burning my dinner.

But I can be kind.

If the biggest thing we do in life is to extend love and kindness to even one other human being, we have changed the world for the better.

That’s a hell of a lot more important than flat abs in my book.

TIPS FOR TODAY:

# 1 – Perseverance and courage!

# 2 – A recent thought-provoking, stimulating Note From the Universe (tut.com) that came to my inbox….

The more you believe in appearances, in the story told by your physical senses and in the circumstances that you now find yourself in, the less control you have over them.

What’s real is your power to change them.

All things are possible.

Dang,
The Universe

# 3 – Holy cow (or I guess I should say bird)! Mother Nature is absolutely amazing! Beauty such as this definitely makes the evolutionary process easier. I can see why there is the saying “the bluebird of happiness” because it’s hard to not be uplifted by something like this….

# 4 – Lucas over at Yoga Body Naturals is offering a free Fit, Flow, Fly yoga DVD when you buy a 6 mos. supply of his extremely popular Green Me Up! drink mix, but the supply is limited so it will probably be sold out by the end of today. Act fast if you want in on this!
#1 – You get a free DVD with a 6-month supply. This is a never-before-released “Fit, Flow, Fly” yoga practice DVD with Youtube sensations Briohny & Dice. They have a truly unique and challenging approach to practice you’ll love.

#2 – This is really a limited time, so we’ll likely run out today. A good chunk of this first batch has already been gobbled up (well, drunk up) by my staff, so it’s first come, first serve… next batch probably won’t be in until 2014.

# 5 – And the situation in Japan continues to worsen. Children of the Sun Foundation is organizing a global event to help the people and dire conditions of this country. What affects Japan, affects the world, so we’re all in this together. If you would like to contribute your prayers and energy to the process, you can find out more here….

Four Agreements, one “Lucky” dog, free e-courses, life experience, radiation update, Aquarius full moon, and “it”

PICK OF THE DAY:

Good “Cliff Notes” version of The Four Agreements…

TIPS FOR TODAY:

# 1 – I just recently found out about this site. Haven’t tried any of the free e-courses offered there yet, but might be worth checking out for some of you. In the personal development area they have a course on Growing Organic Food Sustainably, another course on Physical Fitness Training Principles and Methods, and Digital Photography….

http://alison.com/subjects/6/Personal-Development-Soft-Skills

# 2 – I can’t help myself….I love a good animal story with such a happy/”Lucky” ending.  I just sent off a donation to this rescue organization in honor of my mother, who passed away recently. Boy, did that feel good. :-)

http://www.care2.com/causes/speaking-dog-cant-stop-talking-to-his-rescuers.html

# 3 – A good perspecitve to have on life…

# 4 –  And in keeping with the message of Tip # 3, here’s one of the best articles I’ve found on the radiation situation in Japan (and, consequently, the world). It comes from a place of aiming not to engender fear, but awareness,  so we can see the situation as the powerful call that it is for a shift in consciousness and need for change in the way we go about life….

http://www.collective-evolution.com/2013/08/13/fukushima-the-shocking-truth-of-whats-really-happening/

# 5 –  Update on the Aquarius full moon and other astrological events from Henry Seltzer at astrograph.com….

Tuesday’s Full Moon comes at that time of fulfillment in the lunar cycle, when what was conceived at the moment of inspiration represented by the New Moon two weeks prior becomes seasoned by the intervening trials and insights to become the original idea’s mature flowering and culmination. The masculine and feminine elements of Sun and Moon, in their balance across the Zodiac, are symbolically also about relating to one another. In this particular configuration this concept of relationship is also symbolized by a prominent Venus, in her own sign of Libra, and in aspect with both Saturnand Neptune.

Saturn and Neptune are still for one more week caught up in their long-running trine, which brings their antithetical natures into uneasy combination.Saturn represents physical reality and practicality, perhaps even too much of that, while Neptune represents the numinous realm of otherworldly dream imagination that you might consider to be orthogonal to that earthly plane of existence that Saturn symbolizes, in what noted astrologer Antero Ali likes to call the vertical dimension. We need some of each of these for good relating to others around us; both the divine spark, and as well the practicality of being able to work things out together. Since both planetary archetypes are currently in aspect to Venus in her sign of relationship, both come into play right now for getting on with our process of connection, one important part of what we all came here to do.

Saturn with Venus and with Neptune can in some ways stifle the divine spark of imaginative interaction, but this Full Moon also provides another chime with the creativity of divine imagination, because Jupiter in Cancer comes into an exact square with Uranus in Aries, both of them at the 13th degree of their respective cardinal signs, and also both aspecting Chiron in Pisces. This Chiron factor symbolizes the profound healing of our original psychological wounding that can now unexpectedly take place.

The JupiterUranus part of this alignment is also very beautiful, symbolizing the creativity of individual uniqueness and the potential for rebellion from a stale and outmoded status quo. In his epochal must-read work Cosmos and Psyche, astrologer Richard Tarnas describes JupiterUranus in his section entitled “Cycles of Creativity and Expansion,” detailing the multiple forms of scientific and political/social breakthrough that have occurred under their combination. This summer, centered around this Full Moon, is therefore a time of brilliant ideas and cultural breakthrough. As regards significant partnership, if Saturn represents a cage that has grown up and calcified within a relationship context, JupiterUranus represents a sudden doorway that can release both participants from the cage.

The Sabian symbols for Jupiter and Uranus are interesting. For Jupiter “A hand, flexed, with a prominent thumb,” representing — as well as a Jupiterian thumbs-up — the human tool-making capacity that by extension applies to the creative mind as well. For Uranus we have “An unsuccessful bomb explosion,” for which Marc Edmond Jones has the very Uranian keyword IMPETUOUSNESS. He states that this symbol equates to “a dramatic rejection of any accomplishment falling at all short of very deep or hallowed purpose.”

In the flurry of these times that we are living through, in their impetuousness and sacred wonder, we must indeed constantly strive, each one of us, to aim for the very highest — as we can currently conceive it.

And if you’d like a more “artistic” slant on full moon in Aquarius, check out this post at mooncircles.com and write your own acknowledgements page (mentioned in the article)…

http://mooncircles.com/aquarius-full-moon-acknowledgements/

# 6  – And from Esther Hicks…

My favorite thing that Abraham said in Seattle last Saturday was, “Having fun on your way to it, is the reason for it.”

So I guess we’ve really got our “work” (play?) cut out for us….using things like the radiation situation mentioned in Tip # 4 as the evolutionary driver that it is and somehow making sure that evolutionary journey is fun. Suggestions or comments on how you plan to go about that in your life?

Enjoy, “Zippy”

A better life, Chellie Campbell, radiation update, soul food, and Abraham

PICK OF THE DAY:

TIPS FOR TODAY:

#1-  An article by The Wealthy Spirit author Chellie Campbell that you may be able to relate to. I know there have been times when I could….

Don’t some inspirational articles just tick you off?

A networking friend of mine named Karen was just chatting online with a fellow member about moving your life forward and the challenges therein, and she told her to avoid articles on following your passions and living life to the fullest.

She said, “I appreciate the sentiment, I really do, but I find I am more depressed after reading them. I do not need an article to tell me I have potential beyond the now. Reading said article just reinforces that I am not beyond my now. Reading about how amazing people are living beyond their yesterdays and doing amazing things in their amazing apartments/houses with their amazing companies in their amazing wardrobes and keeping amazing work/life balances is also not helping. They may as well just sign the article “neener neener neener – you suck!”

I do like articles on how people schedule their time or things they put in their week/day that keep them on track. Like I just read one where a guy gets up at 4:30am just to have a few hours to do things he wants to do in his day and get that one big ugly task out of the way before all the emails start coming in and taking away his focus.

She finished by asking the other members of the group “What do you think, Ladies? Am I internalizing this too much? Do I just need to seize the day and read a stack of Oprah Magazines? Or do you find these as patronizing as I do?”

Karen always makes me laugh – and makes me think, too.

So I chimed in with this:

Thanks for your note about “inspirational articles” – your takes on things like this are always so refreshingly honest and I appreciate that very much!

As an author of “inspirational articles myself, I read a lot of them and have been a reader of self-help books for many years. Like you, I feel that the articles that just talk about someone’s amazing talent, amazing luck, and amazing riches just make me feel bad about myself. “Why aren’t I as rich and famous as Suze Orman??” etc. “Why wasn’t I born beautiful like Elizabeth Taylor?” “Why don’t I have a great singing voice like Carrie Underwood?” Yeah, well, not my path this life I guess, and there isn’t anything in those articles that will get me the goodies that those who have extraordinary talents and abilities have.

But I don’t consider those inspirational articles. They are just public relations notices so that the individual being profiled can sell more products and services.

The articles I really appreciate and consider inspirational are the ones where someone talks about a problem they had and how they overcame it. I love reading the biographies of famous, successful people who talk about their early difficulties getting started, or how they failed several times before they succeeded, or how they overcame an addiction. Because we can learn so much from that – how to keep on trying when it gets hard, how to plan your future success regardless of your current circumstances, how to learn and grow through the rough patches on the road of life.

I like articles and books that not only inspire, but teach me something – how to “Feel the Fear and do it Anyway” (great book by Susan Jeffers), or how “When I Say No I Feel Guilty” (by Manuel Smith) keeps me from being assertive enough to get what I want. When I was trying to find a publisher for “The Wealthy Spirit” and getting rejected over and over again, I got a little book called “Rotten Reviews and Rejections” by Bill Henderson and Andre Bernard filled with wonderfully bad notices and rejections for some incredibly successful books (like this rejection for “The Good Earth” by Pearl S. Buck: “Regret the American public is not interested on anything on China”…!!!) Those stories helped me realize that everyone has their detractors and people who just don’t “get” them. And I’d get up and try again the next day, looking for “My People” who were in alignment with my ideas. Everyone has their supporters, too, and if you just keep searching and never give up, you’ll find them.

I am hungry for motivational articles. I want to read them every day. I want to cry, laugh, and learn. I want to be inspired to dream a dream of what I might accomplish. Reading articles that can help motivate me to get up, get busy, and get to work to turn the dream into reality is part of my daily action plan. That’s why I wrote “The Wealthy Spirit” as a page-a-day book – not just to help others, but to help myself. I need the daily dose of inspiration and constant reminders, or I’ll just go off and watch television or read a book about someone else’s adventures and accomplishments. But if I want to have adventures and accomplishments of my own, I have to get up off the couch, get busy and get into action to create it!

I am happiest when I have a goal and a plan to reach the goal and am in action to make it happen. That’s what gives order and spice to each day. And the good kind of inspirational articles help give me more energy, wisdom and tools to do that.

What do you think? What articles inspire you and which ones just tick you off?

Love and blessings,

Chellie

# 2 –  It’s been awhile since I’ve posted anything giving an update on the radiation situation.  It’s certainly not a fun topic, but I feel it’s  good to be informed, plus aware that the planet and Mother Nature still very much need our support…

http://www.realfarmacy.com/mutant-fruits-and-veggies-being-found-in-japan/

http://www.care2.com/causes/fukushima-is-still-leaking-radioactive-waste.html

# 3 – And speaking of Mother Nature, here She is expressing Herself as The Maldives. What can we do to insure that we will always have beautiful places like this to enjoy?

# 4 – A good one to post after Tip # 2 because it’s fairly easy to feel anxious or fearful after reading the articles mentioned there….

# 5 – A message from Deva Premal & Mitan, offering a free download of Guru Brahma Mantra…

Hi friends, in the East, the full moon in July (Monday, July 22 this year) is celebrated as Gurupurnima Day, a day to honor the enlightened ones from all traditions, those who support us on the journey from darkness to light. In honor of this auspicious day, we are offering Guru Brahma Mantra (Devotion) from our album “A Deeper Light” as a free download for the next ten days, July 20-30http://www.devapremalmiten.com/music/downloads/download-free-copy-of-guru-brahma.
Join us in chanting it to honor the Blessed Ones, who, with their great compassion, light our journey home.

With love,
Deva & Miten

# 6 – Another good one from honest Abe….

“When you find vibrational alignment with You, you personally thrive. You feel good; you look good; you have stamina; you have energy; you have balance; you have clarity; you have wit; you have abundance of all things that you consider to be good. You thrive in all ways when you come into Energy Balance with You. Vibrational Relativity – that’s what it’s all about.”—Abraham

# 6 – The Shift Network is sponsoring a free event for all you evolutionaries out there…

Are you a conscious change agent, here to help us shift to a new way of being that is healthy, sustainable, peaceful and prosperous? If so, you’re an evolutionary!

Unlike the revolutions of old that were built on violence, the evolution of today is based on love. That’s why I’m excited to invite you to a free teleseminar event called The Love-Powered EvolutionaryFour Leadership Keys To Activate the Age of the Heart, and it features bestselling author Anodea Judith.

Anodea is best known as the world-leading expert on chakras but she’s also a big-picture visionary with a deep understanding of history and our moment in time. In this event she will illuminate essential foundations for leadership, drawing upon her forthcoming book, The Global Heart Awakens, about which Bruce Lipton said, “Read this book and help save the world.”

If you join Tuesday’s free event, you’ll get key insights for:

  • Liberating Your Vision
  • Building Bridges from the Old
  • Awakening Your Heart and Healing Polarizations
  • Committing to Embodied Master

You can get your complimentary access here.

# 7 – And some input from Abraham…

“Your emotion, your indicator of vibration, is indicating the ratio between your currently focused desire and any other belief or thought that you hold about same. When you feel negative emotion, anger about something, or fear… the name of the emotion does not matter, it always means that there is a desire within you that, in this moment, you are contradicting with some other thought.

Your emotions are always about your relationship with your own desire, and nothing else.”—Abraham

“Bucky Knows Best”…again, community, EMFs, oil cleanse, oil pulling, Parenting With Presence, and Abraham

TIPS FOR TODAY:

# 1 – A few days ago I put together a post that featured a quote from Buckminster Fuller and tagged the tip “Bucky Knows Best.” I guess that would make this “Bucky Knows Best: Part Deux.” :-)

# 2 – The importance of community in the evolutionary process (this ties in nicely with Tip # 1 :-))…

When you break up the individuals from a community into individual units, they become disempowered because it’s the collective consciousness and the collective energy of the group from which power comes. The principal driving force that lies before us, is that we have to recognize the nature of community as the evolutionary step that we just took a step backwards from in the last century” ~Bruce Lipton quoted from his appearance on Healing With The Masters

We can’t do this by ourselves. Evolution is not a solo journey. It is essential to do it in community.” ~ Hope Fitzgerald

# 4 – The Shift Network is sponsoring a free event many of you may be interested in…

It’s the Parenting With Presence Summit, hosted by Susan Stiffelman, the author of Parenting without Power Struggles and parenting columnist for the Huffington Post. This special event features more than 20 of the world’s leading parenting experts and thought-leaders—exploring how to grow as a parent and raise more joyful, resilient and authentic children.

This free event takes place online, June 4th – 7th, so you can listen from the comfort of your home. When you register you’ll have access to profound conversations as Susan connects with Marianne Williamson, Harville Hendrix and Helen LaKelly Hunt, don Miguel Ruiz, John Gray, Gary Zukav, Marci Shimoff, Congressman Tim Ryan and many more.

No matter what your relationship is with the children in your life, this summit will provide you with information that should have come in the “owner’s manual” that you wish accompanied every child—but doesn’t! Get all the details here.

# 5- I’ve always thought it isn’t good to get too caught up in the gender thing or being male or female. Seems to often polarize people, instead of create a sense of Oneness. We are all composed of both male and female energies. Here’s Abe’s take on things…

“Gender identity” is inconsequential from an Energy standpoint. In other words, when we view anything that is physical, we see the Energy of it, and we note that the Energy of what you call male and female is equal in all things.—Abraham

Wi-fi experiment, interesting point of view, chocolate walnut ice cream, Anita Moorjani and Abraham

TIPS FOR THE DAY:

# 1- Here’s a blog post that focuses on one of the most helpful tools from Access Consciousness…..seeing everything as just an “interesting point of view.” This one simple tool and the shift in consciousness it provides can be life-changing. Really!

http://strategicboardessentials.com/blog/2012/12/26/interesting-point-of-view

# 2 – Wow, if you use a cell phone (I think I’m the only person left on the planet who doesn’t) or have wi-fi in your house or work environment, here’s something you should see…

BTW, be sure to read my blog post titled EMFs, Your Health & Vibes Up for some ingenious ways to help off-set radiation from cell phones, wi-fi, cars, etc.

# 3 – Check out this yummy and nutritious dessert recipe I recently featured on my Self-help Health blog that could actually help you prevent Alzheimer’s.  Sort of like having your cake (in this case ice cream) and eating it, too? :-)

http://selfhelphealth.wordpress.com/2013/05/27/ice-cream-good-nutrition-yes/

# 4 – Don’t worry, be happy…

“When we’re true to ourselves, we become instruments of truth for the planet. Because we’re all connected, we touch the lives of everyone around us, who then affect others. Our only obligation is to be the love we are and allow our answers to come from within in the way that’s most appropriate for us.

Finally, I can’t stress enough how important it is to enjoy yourself and not take yourself or life too seriously. One of the biggest flaws with many traditional spiritual systems is that they give you such a somber outlook. Although you know that I abhor creating doctrines, if I ever had to create a set of tenets for a spiritual path to healing, number one on my list would be to make sure to laugh as often as possible throughout every single day—and preferably laugh at myself. This would be hands down over and above any form of prayer, meditation, chanting, or diet reform. Day-to-day problems never seem as big when viewed through a veil of humor and love.

In this age of information technology, we’re bombarded with news seemingly at the speed of light. We’re living in an age of high stress and fear, and in the midst of trying to protect ourselves from everything we think is “out there,” we’ve forgotten to enjoy ourselves and to take care of what’s inside.

Our life is our prayer. It’s our gift to this universe, and the memories we leave behind when we someday exit this world will be our legacy to our loved ones. We owe it to ourselves and to everyone around us to be happy and to spread that joy around.

If we can go through life armed with humor and the realization that we are love, we’ll already be ahead of the game. Add a box of good chocolates into the mix, and we’ve really got a winning formula!” Anita Moorjani from Dying To Be Me ♥

# 5 – And a little stimulation from Abraham to end on…

“We would never move forward in the face of negative emotion. There are many people who would teach you otherwise. They say you’ve got to face fear to get over it. And all they do is desensitize themselves to the point that they get themselves into situations where they have no idea what’s going on, and the end of them comes rather abruptly… And then everyone calls them brave.”—Abraham
