TIPS FOR TODAY:

# 1 – Good insight and stimulation from Jeff Foster…..

“RELAX, YOU ARE NOT THE DOER”

What is stress?

Stress is the tension between this moment and your mental image of how this moment ‘should be’.

Stress is your narrow focus on a mental list of ‘things to do’, the imaginary burden of ‘all the things that haven’t been done yet’.

Stress always involves future-thinking, a forgetting of your true Ground – this moment, here, now.

When your focus shifts from what is NOT present, to what IS present, from ‘lack’ to what is abundantly here, and instead of trying to complete a list of a thousand things, you simply do the next thing, the one thing that presents itself now, with your full attention and passion and presence, lists get completed effortlessly – and even if they don’t, creative solutions are found, without stress.

Relax. You are not the doer.

– Jeff Foster

# 2 – Lovely image and stimulating text from Adyashanti…..

“Although they can seem numberless and at times overwhelming, dysfunctional emotional patterns are in the end illusions that we have been taught. And whatever we can learn, we can unlearn.”

~ Adyashanti, “The Way of Liberating Insight” Study Course

# 3 – An excerpt from Rob Brezsny’s newsletter and book Pronoia…..

Even if you don’t call yourself an artist, you have the potential to be a dynamic creator who is always hatching new plans, coming up with fresh ideas, and shifting your approach to everything you do as you adjust to life’s ceaseless invitation to change.

It’s to this part of you‚ the restless, inventive spirit‚ that I address the following: Unleash yourself! Don’t be satisfied with the world the way it is; don’t sit back passively and blankly complain about the dead weight of the mediocre status quo.

Instead, call on your curiosity and charisma and expressiveness and lust for life as you tinker with and rebuild everything you see so that it’s in greater harmony with the laws of love and more hospitable to your soul’s code.

# 4 – Oh, I love this one that a friend shared on Facebook….

Universe, show me today how it would be if every cell of my body embodies the energy of laughter? – Nila Nimi Nirmal Raju

# 5 – Check out the latest at Self-help Health…..

# 6 – Deepak Chopra is offering another one of his 21-day meditation series starting Oct 31st. The focus of this series is on cultivating inner peace (boy, how timely is that?!). I’ve participated in almost all the previous events, and the last two he did were my faves, so I have high hopes for this one. Just listening to his soothing, centering voice is enough to put me in meditation mode, and he always provides such gems of insight and wisdom…….

# 7 – And some Abe to end on……

When you focus upon lack in an attitude of complaining, you establish a vibrational point of attraction that then gives you access only to more thoughts of complaint. Your deliberate effort to tell a new story will establish a new pattern of thought, providing you with a new point of attraction from your present, about your past, and into your future. The simple effort of looking for positive aspects will set a new vibrational tone that will begin the immediate attraction of thoughts, people, circumstances, and things that are pleasing to you. — Abraham

I am a 21 yr. old Victoria's Secret model with an IQ of 278 and was recently featured on the cover of a Fortune 500 magazine as the world's first bizillionaire.....:-) Oops! Guess that was in a past life. In THIS lifetime I am the author of two books, one on effective visioning and Self-awareness, and the other on detoxing the body and improving overall health. I've also spent some time dabbling in watercolors, putting together two websites (www.allonetogether.com and www.evolutionmadeeasier.com) on conscious living, writing two blogs (Evolution Made Easier and Self-help Health), and doing several types of energy work. Yadda, yadda, blah, blah. :-) Anyway, I love when I find some new teaching, inspirational quote, enlightening information, health-promoting protocol, or other resource that ends up having a positive impact on my life. And I really enjoy passing along my "finds" so that others might benefit from them as well. In fact, that's the main reason I created my websites and blogs. So I hope you enjoy and make use of the information, articles, videos and other resources I'm drawn to share. And may it all somehow support you in creating a happier, healthier, more abundant life for yourself and those you care about! Visit Zirah (B. L.)'s profile on Pinterest.

  1. Hi Zirah :-) Thank you for the inspiration! :-) <3 I look forward to the collections you put together. :-) I was looking at the weather the other day and wondering how you are doing. I saw a big rainstorm from the hurricane over your state and photos of floods. I hope all is well. I love the photo of the baby. :-) I am making the rest of October and perhaps early November outdoor time here. I feel like an intense nature healing spell before winter arrives. The last month has been interesting. I am choosing to think of it as a learning experience. :-) At least I recognize the unhealthy patterns more often than before and have a method for (gradually) changing them. It is clear that there is more to do with a few I thought I had let go. My Mom visited for a long weekend and we were out looking at the birds. I have some mystery birds to figure out. This area is in the migratory pathway of the small birds and the ducks. I am hoping to see some birds I haven't seen before. :-)

    • Fortunately I am more inland, so all we got was a couple of days of dreary weather, some rain (which was much needed; could have used more), and high howling winds. Then the last 2 days we have had bright sunshine….always a delight. I think some of the birds from here have headed elsewhere. I miss having all the activity and various sounds where I put seeds and nuts out. It has definitely felt very much like fall lately, w/ fairly low temps at night and changing foliage all around, so I guess certain birds “heard/heeded the calling.” I look forward to seeing some of your mystery birds!

p.s. I attended a class yesterday on beekeeping put on by a new community center getting started in my neighborhood. Fascinating! We even got to meet “the girls” (what that they call the female bees that basically do all the work) at a couple of the hives they’ve established at the center. Didn’t realize working w/ bees was so complex. I have a new appreciation for bees and beekeepers! I have also started helping in the community garden they have at the center. I get to feel like a kid again digging around in the dirt. :-)

      • Sunny fall days are delightful. :-) Learning about the bees sounds interesting. Playing in the dirt and growing things is fun and therapeutic. :-) I know what you mean about missing the birds. The bird population in this area has dropped as well. It seems oddly silent when I go for a walk in the morning. When my Mom and I were at the park on the lake and saw the little mystery birds, we couldn’t see them well enough to identify them in the bird book. I didn’t have my camera the couple of times we were there. Yesterday, after I took her to the airport, I stopped by with my camera to see if I could find them again. I did. :-) There were at least two different small birds which is probably why it was confusing. It could be that they are the male and the female of one bird species. I have a few good photos of one of them. The other one was partly hidden in yesterday’s photos. I am going to go out again either tomorrow or later in the week to see if I can find them again. I love a good mystery. :-) I will be back to posting regularly soon. It seems like there are times when all kinds of things happen at once and my schedule gets turned upside down. The last month has been this way. One of the winter projects is to create a collection of posts finished ahead of time.
