Smile, imagination, toe touch, grateful heart, special relationships, and your mind IS a garden

# 1 – Try it….you’ll like it! :-)

# 2 – Ole Albert was pretty sharp, wasn’t he?

Imagination is more important than knowledge. Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world. — Albert Einstein

# 3 – This is an insightful, thought-provoking read…..

As Moshe Feldenkrais wrote in Awareness Through Movement:

“Despite the fact the inherited differences are obvious, there are few individuals who view themselves without reference to the value attributed to them by society. Like a man trying to force a square peg into a round hole, so the individual tries to smooth out his biological peculiarities by alienating himself from his inherent needs. He strains to fit himself into the round hole that he now actively desires to fill, for if he fails in this, his value will be so diminished in his own eyes as to discourage further initiative.”

# 5 – Delightful story and video about a special relationship between a man, a dog and a hummingbird…..

# 6 – And have you heard the metaphysical saying “your mind is a garden; you can grow flowers or you can grow weeds”? Well, turns out that’s very close to the truth…..

  1. Hi Zirah :-)
Your post has brought on a smile. :-) Thank you! I am happy to have a good reason for my little cat naps. :-) My Mom tells me that lying on the floor on your tummy is actually a good way to stretch your back. Her physical therapist told her this when giving her some more exercises and stretches for her back. It would appear those little attitude adjustment lie downs on the rug for a few moments I do are good for many reasons. :-) I love the smile for no reason and start the day with a grateful heart. I am on a little trip with my Mom who is visiting this weekend. I was tired and feeling emotionally spent last night and borderline cranky, but this morning I am back to the happy after some sleep and quiet. Sat down here to look at maps for a while. My Mom is in the other room still sleeping. I was happy to start my day reading your post. :-)

    1. Glad you enjoyed the post and thanks for taking the time to comment. One of the things I like about the “brain article,” besides the endorsement of naps :-), is that it shows how science and metaphysics/spirituality dovetail together, rather than operating separately. Our minds REALLY ARE gardens. :-) Hope you enjoy your visit with your mother!
