You Can Change The Script Any Time

I went to a lovely uplifting talk the other night with Lee Harris, a channeler and intuitive who speaks and writes with warmth and clarity about a variety of interesting topics. During his talk one of the themes he brought up was around how we interact with others and how we tend to follow a ‘script’, and how it’s sometimes very refreshing to change the script.

It got me thinking about the scripts we write within ourselves – how we perceive and talk to ourselves (mentally or, dare I say, verbally!). This topic has also been on my mind a bit after hearing some talks by Marisa Peer, a well-known psychologist and hypnotherapist who spoke at length around self-talk and the power it has.

If we pay attention, we begin to realise there are a lot of scripts.

One might be “Oh my GOD I am so tired I had to get up early this morning, I hate getting up early, I’m going to be tired for the rest of the day, ooofff….”

Another might be “I am so stressed out right now. I have a huge mountain of work to do, I just don’t have time, it’s killing me.”

Another might be self-judgement: “I am so lazy. I am really good at procrastinating. I am this and I am that.”

When we understand the power and energy behind words, and how energy works, suddenly we realise: I am adding the energy of: tired, hate, stressed, killing me, lazy, blah blah – to my energy field. Every time!! And what happens – the feelings just get exacerbated and energetically we just reinforce that energy. So, we continue to feel- tired, hateful, stressed, lazy, procrastinating, etc.

Further to that, it actually has an impact on our physical bodies. If you read my post on the vibrational scale, these energies also have an impact on our physical wellbeing. Higher vibrations like love and joy lead to vibrancy, health and harmony in the body. The lower vibrations like fear, guilt and shame facilitate distortion, disease and pain in the body. This is why stress is the number one cause of disease – stress arises ultimately from thoughts based in fear, guilt, shame and anger around situations.

What if we choose to change the script? What can it be instead? A simple example: “I love getting up early. It means I have plenty of time to do all the things I want to in the morning. I feel a little tired but it’s no big deal.” Try it. I was surprised to find that getting up early really was no big deal, after changing the script. Beforehand I was always hitting the snooze button!

It’s a trivial example, but it can be applied to just about anything.

To begin, the time of the vigil/meditation is as follows:

7AM Pacific US Time
10AM Eastern US Time
3PM London Time
5PM Israel Time
4AM (Tuesday) Auckland Time

James Twyman and the religious leaders will be within eyesight of the ISIL villages.

Thanks to The Abrahamic Reunion in Israel, James will be joined by Jewish, Christian and Muslim leaders on a hill overlooking the villages where so many Syrians are suffering. They will be putting themselves at risk to inspire YOU to join them for just 10-15 minutes of focused meditation at the time listed above. All you need to do is to FEEL the energy of peace, as if it is already present in Syria (This is the critical component to this type of prayer). Then visualize children in Syria being fed, people living in peace, and the government stable and serving the needs of all its citizens.

Most people believe they are powerless in the face of such violence. This is a simple way millions of people can add their energy to a positive solution for this humanitarian crisis. It has been proven over and over through other studies like the Maharishi Effect. Now we have the chance to demonstrate the power of our joined meditation and prayer. Please join at the designated time, and share this with everyone you know.
