Ego traps, cognitive dissonance, feed your dreams, and Abraham

PICK OF THE DAY:

Ah, nothing like thinking there is a “right way”/spiritual idealism and judgment to throw a monkey wrench into the evolutionary process…

TIPS FOR TODAY:

# 1 –  A fairly long read, but an interesting, insightful article about cognitive dissonance and learning to use it to your advantage…

http://crackyouregg.com/cognitive-dissonance/?inf_contact_key=399bd8880eb8b7f65090517060de1e4de65fbd2f3dabab1691a1b868d1ff4881

# 2 – Lest we forget….

# 3 – A sweet little video of an interaction between Robin Williams and Koko the gorilla. You can tell that they get that we are all One….

# 4 – Yoga Body Naturals is going more digital and green so they are having a garage sale on certain hard copy items, plus offering free shipping! Quantities are limited, so get crackin’ if you’re interested in taking advantage of this.

# 5 – Love this one from Abe….

Love and appreciation are identical vibrations. Appreciation is the vibration of alignment with who-you-are. Appreciation is the absence of everything that feels bad and the presence of everything that feels good. When you focus upon what you want – when you tell the story of how you want your life to be – you will come closer and closer to the vicinity of appreciation, and when you reach it, it will pull you toward all things that you consider to be good in a very powerful way.—Abraham

Honor your body, education, Grand Sextile, your creative powers, Abraham and more

PICK OF THE DAY:

Oh boy, is this a good one for me to remember!

TIPS FOR TODAY:

# 1 – I guess we could/should also add “Don’t let your mind bully your heart.” :-)

# 2 – A good article by Access Consciousness facilitator Richard Atkinson about the connection between creativity and child-like playfulness, plus an invitation to a free call to help you get in touch with your “childish” creative powers and ability to generate more money and whatever else you want (a replay will be available if you can’t make it live)

I was in the beautiful little town of Ashland, Oregon this past week. As I was walking around town I stopped and watched some kids playing at a playground. They were having a heck of a lot of fun! Isn’t it amazing how totally present and in the moment children can be?
Children are much closer to their creative source than most adults. They have the unbridled fierceness of being fully curious and committed to creating. They don’t judge whether they’re artists or not, they just create. Until they’re told that what they draw or paint or write or express doesn’t look real or isn’t good enough.
By the time they’re 10 or 12 most children have let the fear of being judged and made wrong shut down their creativity and cut off their creative power. They come to doubt themselves and are fearful of other people’s opinions about them. They lose their full natural power to create through play.
Play and lightness  are at the heart of creativity. They speed up things being manifested and coming to you. Have you ever noticed people who are really good at what they’re doing and enjoying it? They’re in a flow of personal power – fully engaged with what they’re doing and fully open to receive what can come from it.
When you don’t doubt yourself, don’t fear judgment of others and don’t judge what you create, you’re like a child again. You’re free to create with your full power and attention. Fully aligned with what you’re doing. And when you use that creative power to bring your gifts to helping people fulfill their desires, abundant money can naturally flow to you.
I’d love to empower you to be in a greater flow with what you love to do. And make abundant money faster and easier.
Join me and my host  Catherine Garrett this Tuesday July 30th on a free telecall. Get empowered to reclaim your ‘childish’ creative powers and align them with your ability to generate money.
This call is for you if you’d like to let go of limiting beliefs getting in your way and learn practical tips you can apply immediately to make more money.
If you can’t call in at the time of the call, sign up anyway and receive the replay.

What would it take for you to join us live this Tuesday and open up
your abilities to create and receive money faster and easier?
To your infinite success,

# 3 – An interesting article about ideas and innovations that could change the world…

http://disinfo.com/2013/07/five-corporation-crushing-disruptive-technologies-that-will-empower-the-masses/

# 4 –  An astrological update by Jane Warren of The Simplified Witch on a major configuration that people have been talking about for weeks…

JULY 29, 2013 IS THE BIG ONE; THE ONE WE’VE BEEN WAITING FOR. This is when the planets – the Moon, Jupiter and Mars (both conjunct on this day), Venus, Saturn, Pluto and Neptune align to form what is known in astrology as a Grand Sextile (60% apart) or Star of David. This aspect is extremely rare (the last time one formed was at the beginning of the end of WWII – on the 7th February 1945, which showed that the conflict was coming to a close) and is considered one of the most positive aspects there is. The conjunction of Jupiter and Mars is sextile to Venus, the power of beauty, on one side, and the Moon, the power of love, on the other side. This signals the opportunity for the power of love and beauty to overcome the power of war and religion. Then the planet Saturn, materialism, is sextile to Venus, power of beauty, on one side and Pluto, the planet of transformation, on the other side. This signals the power of beauty to transform materialism. Then we have the planet Neptune, the power of our highest hopes and dreams, sextile to Pluto, the planet of transformation, on one side and the Moon, the power of love, on the other side. This signifies the power of transformation to bring about our highest hopes and dreams through the power of love.

And from Henry Seltzer at astrograph.com, more on the grand sextile, plus the last quarter moon….

Monday’s Last Quarter Moon is of great interest, in that it summarizes a powerful lunation cycle that has had an important Mercury Retrograde as well as many outer planet connections; it is also fascinating in that the Moon trines Venus to complete a grand sextile withSaturnNeptuneJupiter and Pluto. This inscribed six-pointed star within the circle of the Zodiac is a pattern also known as a Star of David. It is understandably rare and magical, and it actually consists of two interlocking grand trines, in Earth and in Water. Within these graceful flowing aspects it holds great promise for healing and peaceful energy as we end an intense month of July and take one further step toward what might in fact become a difficult fall period; punctuated as it is by another dose of Uranus and Pluto in their square formation, becoming exact on November 1st.

This Last Quarter Moon itself does not consist of entirely easy aspects. The Sun in Leo is square the Taurus Moon, and also squares Saturn in Scorpio. A T-square to the Sun, involving Saturn, implies that we are in for a somewhat difficult passage out of Mercury‘s retrograde shadow, that part of the retrograde period when Mercury is making up its lost Zodiacal longitude, its return to the degree of Cancer where it stationed at the end of June. Mercury escapes its retrograde shadow on August 4th, and until then certain vestiges of the usual symptoms will prevail, perhaps made stronger by the slowdown implied by strong Saturn: communication snafus and other mishaps and the failure of our own planning or of the mechanical and digital components on which we rely.

Simultaneously, and giving a preview of the November situation with Uranus perfectly in square with PlutoMars has moved along through Cancer to the point where it squaresUranus and opposes Pluto, each by a little over a degree. This aspect momentarily triggers these outer planet heavyweights, still in square, just not as close as they will be later on this year. We see all around us on the collective level the evidence of societal breakdown as we prepare for breakthrough; and we continue to see these effects in our own individual lives as well, effects that could be characterized as the chaos that precedes the birth.

The Sabian Symbol for this summer’s Uranus in the 13th degree of Aries is comically scary: “An unsuccessful bomb explosion,” which we must remember to take symbolically. For Pluto in the 10th degree of Capricorn the symbol is: “An albatross feeding from the hand,” for which Marc Edmond Jones has “unusual success in dramatizing the potentialities of human nature.” The albatross has come to be, for sailors, a sign of good luck; and we are all sailors.

The momentary Star of David appearing in these late July skies is a hopeful sign. Taken together with the message of these Sabian degree symbols, there forms a potent imagery of the role of free will in allowing historical opportunities to fulfill themselves. As we participate by engaging the material that we have to work with, along with the cosmic energies and the current state of consciousness of the surrounding society, we can cooperate with these factors and with each other to make something successful, if we truly try.

# 5 – And a good one from Abraham…

You are the creator of your own reality, and so you are not in jeopardy. You do not need to control the behavior of others in order for you to thrive. Your attention to things that you think they do that keeps you from your thriving is, in fact, what keeps you from your thriving… It is not what they do to you; it’s what you do to you in fear of what you think that they will do to you.—Abraham

Affirmations, dog story, solar parks & bees, Your Buddha Brain, and namaste

TIPS FOR TODAY:

# 1 – 9 affirmations for greater happiness, awareness and abundance from The Healers Journal…

By Truth | The Healers Journal

Affirmations are simple, yet powerful phrases you can repeat to yourself throughout the day in order to reprogram your conscious and subconscious mind.  They can greatly facilitate the replacement of limiting beliefs with ones that more accurately reflect your true divine nature and support a life of greater health, happiness, abundance and awareness.

I find the most powerful times to repeat affirmations are as follows:

  • Immediately upon waking in the morning.  The second you open your eyes, begin to repeat your affirmations to yourself.  This will set the tone for your day.  Furthermore, immediately upon waking, you still have greater access to the subconscious mind, which will help facilitate the transformation of your beliefs.  You may want to create some sort of reminder and keep it next to your bed as it can be difficult to remember the affirmations after intense dreams.
  • Immediately prior to going to sleep.  Setting intentions before you go to sleep allows you to work with and internalize them in the expanded state of awareness we access in the dream state.  We go deep into our subconscious minds while dreaming and a well timed affirmation just prior to dozing off can more easily penetrate the barriers that normally keep us from accessing this part of our mind.
  • During and immediately following meditations.  Meditating allows us to shut off the thinking mind and access deeper levels of awareness and focus.  In this expanded, receptive state, simple suggestions are far more powerful than normal and can penetrate and alter our limiting beliefs more easily.
  • Whenever you remember throughout the day.   The only caveat here is to not overuse the affirmations, as you risk them losing their power and meaning.  You must be open to and ready for a shift in your beliefs and awareness, otherwise no amount of repetition will change that fact.  These affirmations are profound spiritual truths and they should be treated with respect.  Explore them, learn from them, and internalize them.

1. I have unlimited abundance available to me always.

All you need to do is realize this and accept it into your life.  Examine how you may be cutting yourself off from it through conscious/subconscious beliefs.  The universe is infinitely abundant and provides us with everything we could ever need.  Only we have the ability to cut ourselves off from this through limiting beliefs.

2. I am the creator of my reality.

You are the creator of your reality and no one else.  However, until you become conscious of this fact and begin to work with it, you are giving your power to others and letting forces outside yourself strongly influence and define your reality, and so the illusion of not having full control is perpetuated.  Only when you are ready to take full responsibility for everything you have created in your life, will you be able to take full control over it.

3. I love and accept myself just as I am.

Everything is perfect, always.  You are not excluded from this.  Where you are in your spiritual development and awareness in this moment, is perfect.  There is no better than or less than, only what is.  And so everyone and everything is also perfect, no matter how dark and no matter how light.

4. I am loved and supported by the universe.

As an aspect of the Creator/God, you are unconditionally loved and supported.  All are loved unequivocally and equally.  The degree to which you experience this in your life is a reflection of the openness you have to this love.  Again, only you can choose to cut yourself off from this and only you can choose how open to the love you are.

5. I am a powerful spiritual being.

Do not underestimate your power.  Do not believe all that you have been told about what you are capable of.  Society, well meaning friends, family, and loved ones, mainstream science and the media may all tell you otherwise, but pay no heed to their words, for you, and they too, are infinitely powerful spiritual beings.  We are all at various stages in the process of remembering this truth — the truth that we are indeed capable of anything we put our focus, will and mind to.

6. I attract exactly what I need effortlessly.

Life is as easy as you allow it to be.  If you are having difficulties, ask yourself why you are creating these for yourself?  What lesson do you need to learn?  What limiting belief is keeping you from attracting exactly what you need effortlessly?  Be brutally honest with yourself — anything less is only holding YOU back, no one else.

7. I have the ability to create and achieve whatever I desire.

It is your birthright.  The Creator/God created humankind in its image and so you too are given the power to create whatever it is you desire.  And so you do, whether you are aware of it or not.  As you become more aware of your true power and begin to take greater responsibility for it, so too will you begin to wield greater power over your creations.

8. I am a spiritual being having a physical experience.

Everything originates from spirit.  Do not lose sight of the forest for the trees.  Always maintain a higher perspective on the events occurring at any given time.  This will help to keep you from getting lost and sucked into the illusion of duality and separateness.  Let your higher self/intuition guide you and you will never be led astray.

9. I am at peace with the world around me and the world is at peace with me.

As a powerful creator being, your have the choice as to what relationship you choose to have with the world around you.  Do you choose conflict and separateness, or oneness and peace?  Become aware of how you approach life and your day to day interactions, as the world around you simply reflects back to you what frequency you are broadcasting.  If you are unhappy with how the world is treating you, then change your personal perceptions and watch the world transform before your eyes.

(FYI, the Healers Journal recommends using either of the sound healings available on the Healers Journal site with your affirmations; I am not familiar with these but you may want to check them out. Apparently they are embedded with affirmations and special tones–binaural frequencies–that put your mind into a deeply receptive state, which allows for greater and more rapid transformation.  Learn more here: Soul Defragmentation and DNA Activation

# 5 – A great quote about the meaning behind “namaste.” I like the part where it says it is like blowing on the spark of God in each other.

“Blessings come in forms as simple as the greeting commonly used in India. On meeting even a total stranger, one bows and says NAMASTE: I see the divine spark within you. Here we are too often fooled by someone’s appearance, their age or illness or anger or meanness or just too busy to recognize that there is in everyone a place of goodness and integrity, no matter how deeply buried. We are too hurried or distracted to stop and bear witness to it. When we recognize the spark of God in others, we blow on it with our attention and strengthen it, no matter how deeply it has been buried or for how long. When we bless someone, we touch the unborn goodness in them and wish it well.” – Rachel Naomi Remen, in “My Grandfather’s Blessings”

A better life, Chellie Campbell, radiation update, soul food, and Abraham

PICK OF THE DAY:

TIPS FOR TODAY:

#1-  An article by The Wealthy Spirit author Chellie Campbell that you may be able to relate to. I know there have been times when I could….

Don’t some inspirational articles just tick you off?

A networking friend of mine named Karen was just chatting online with a fellow member about moving your life forward and the challenges therein, and she told her to avoid articles on following your passions and living life to the fullest.

She said, “I appreciate the sentiment, I really do, but I find I am more depressed after reading them. I do not need an article to tell me I have potential beyond the now. Reading said article just reinforces that I am not beyond my now. Reading about how amazing people are living beyond their yesterdays and doing amazing things in their amazing apartments/houses with their amazing companies in their amazing wardrobes and keeping amazing work/life balances is also not helping. They may as well just sign the article “neener neener neener – you suck!”

I do like articles on how people schedule their time or things they put in their week/day that keep them on track. Like I just read one where a guy gets up at 4:30am just to have a few hours to do things he wants to do in his day and get that one big ugly task out of the way before all the emails start coming in and taking away his focus.

She finished by asking the other members of the group “What do you think, Ladies? Am I internalizing this too much? Do I just need to seize the day and read a stack of Oprah Magazines? Or do you find these as patronizing as I do?”

Karen always makes me laugh – and makes me think, too.

So I chimed in with this:

Thanks for your note about “inspirational articles” – your takes on things like this are always so refreshingly honest and I appreciate that very much!

As an author of “inspirational articles myself, I read a lot of them and have been a reader of self-help books for many years. Like you, I feel that the articles that just talk about someone’s amazing talent, amazing luck, and amazing riches just make me feel bad about myself. “Why aren’t I as rich and famous as Suze Orman??” etc. “Why wasn’t I born beautiful like Elizabeth Taylor?” “Why don’t I have a great singing voice like Carrie Underwood?” Yeah, well, not my path this life I guess, and there isn’t anything in those articles that will get me the goodies that those who have extraordinary talents and abilities have.

But I don’t consider those inspirational articles. They are just public relations notices so that the individual being profiled can sell more products and services.

The articles I really appreciate and consider inspirational are the ones where someone talks about a problem they had and how they overcame it. I love reading the biographies of famous, successful people who talk about their early difficulties getting started, or how they failed several times before they succeeded, or how they overcame an addiction. Because we can learn so much from that – how to keep on trying when it gets hard, how to plan your future success regardless of your current circumstances, how to learn and grow through the rough patches on the road of life.

I like articles and books that not only inspire, but teach me something – how to “Feel the Fear and do it Anyway” (great book by Susan Jeffers), or how “When I Say No I Feel Guilty” (by Manuel Smith) keeps me from being assertive enough to get what I want. When I was trying to find a publisher for “The Wealthy Spirit” and getting rejected over and over again, I got a little book called “Rotten Reviews and Rejections” by Bill Henderson and Andre Bernard filled with wonderfully bad notices and rejections for some incredibly successful books (like this rejection for “The Good Earth” by Pearl S. Buck: “Regret the American public is not interested on anything on China”…!!!) Those stories helped me realize that everyone has their detractors and people who just don’t “get” them. And I’d get up and try again the next day, looking for “My People” who were in alignment with my ideas. Everyone has their supporters, too, and if you just keep searching and never give up, you’ll find them.

I am hungry for motivational articles. I want to read them every day. I want to cry, laugh, and learn. I want to be inspired to dream a dream of what I might accomplish. Reading articles that can help motivate me to get up, get busy, and get to work to turn the dream into reality is part of my daily action plan. That’s why I wrote “The Wealthy Spirit” as a page-a-day book – not just to help others, but to help myself. I need the daily dose of inspiration and constant reminders, or I’ll just go off and watch television or read a book about someone else’s adventures and accomplishments. But if I want to have adventures and accomplishments of my own, I have to get up off the couch, get busy and get into action to create it!

I am happiest when I have a goal and a plan to reach the goal and am in action to make it happen. That’s what gives order and spice to each day. And the good kind of inspirational articles help give me more energy, wisdom and tools to do that.

What do you think? What articles inspire you and which ones just tick you off?

Love and blessings,

Chellie

# 2 –  It’s been awhile since I’ve posted anything giving an update on the radiation situation.  It’s certainly not a fun topic, but I feel it’s  good to be informed, plus aware that the planet and Mother Nature still very much need our support…

# 3 – And speaking of Mother Nature, here She is expressing Herself as The Maldives. What can we do to insure that we will always have beautiful places like this to enjoy?

# 4 – A good one to post after Tip # 2 because it’s fairly easy to feel anxious or fearful after reading the articles mentioned there….

# 5 – A message from Deva Premal & Mitan, offering a free download of Guru Brahma Mantra…

Hi friends, in the East, the full moon in July (Monday, July 22 this year) is celebrated as Gurupurnima Day, a day to honor the enlightened ones from all traditions, those who support us on the journey from darkness to light. In honor of this auspicious day, we are offering Guru Brahma Mantra (Devotion) from our album “A Deeper Light” as a free download for the next ten days, July 20-30http://www.devapremalmiten.com/music/downloads/download-free-copy-of-guru-brahma.
Join us in chanting it to honor the Blessed Ones, who, with their great compassion, light our journey home.

With love,
Deva & Miten

# 6 – Another good one from honest Abe….

“When you find vibrational alignment with You, you personally thrive. You feel good; you look good; you have stamina; you have energy; you have balance; you have clarity; you have wit; you have abundance of all things that you consider to be good. You thrive in all ways when you come into Energy Balance with You. Vibrational Relativity – that’s what it’s all about.”—Abraham

Love, love and more L-O-V-E

Tomorrow I will be attending a memorial for my mother. She died on July 11th at the age of 88, after spending the last years of her life in that strange limbo land known as advanced dementia. My relationship with her was often not an easy one, but she gave and received love in the best ways she knew how. And she did a bang up job of keeping me well-fed and cared for, while probably giving up many of her own dreams and aspirations along the way. So I dedicate today’s post to her. Here’s to you, Mama! xoxoxo……..

This pretty much says it all….really the only “tip” we ever need :-)….

Okay, so maybe here’s one other tip  you may want to keep in mind :-)…

And another….

“You have been oriented that you must pay a price in order to get somewhere, and in the process, you’ve come to believe that getting there must be really important, therefore, it must be your purpose. And we say, but if you’re not getting to joy, then you’ve gotten nowhere. Joy is really where you’re going.“— Abraham

And a must watch. A great video about love in action that I found out about awhile back from real estate agent extraordinaire Ron Armstrong (he’s got too many designations after his name to even list here :-))…

Beloved, power of intention, meditation challenge, sharpening our wits, making money tele-series, astrology update, and Abraham

PICK  OF THE DAY:

TIPS FOR TODAY:

# 1 – An article by Janet Bray Attwood, author of The Passion Test, about aligning intention with your passion…

The Power of Intention

JULY 9, 2013 BY

your intentions-true intentions-you passionEvery single manmade creation you can see was once just an idea in someone’s mind – an idea that became a reality . If you want to create the life of your dreams, it begins by writing your dreams down and becoming as clear as possible about them.

The power of intention and attention is what brings ideas into concrete form. When you have intention and attention with no tension, then the whole process becomes fun.

Your Intentions Should Match Your Passion

For most people, creations are unconscious, and so they view themselves as the victims of their situations and circumstances.

However, successful people know the secret—they create their reality from what they put their intention on.

Some people state intentions and then are perplexed when the results in their life don’t match their stated intentions. Why would this happen?

Here is a secret that could be worth a lifetime of fulfillment to you, so pay close attention:

Your results will always match your true intentions.

Your life will always express what is going on deep inside you. Therefore, if your results are out of line with your stated intentions, it’s time to do some self-examination.

Where Do Your True Intentions Lie?

Some years ago we partnered with some friends to create a business. Together we stated our intention to generate $10 million in revenues and over $2 million in profits the first year. A year later we were $100,000 in debt after generating $1 million in revenues.

We stated our intentions clearly, we made a detailed plan, we executed the plan, and we worked our tails off. What went wrong?

Later when we looked back over that time, we realized that our real intention was to make our partners happy by agreeing to what they wanted. There were many times when we felt something should be done differently, but because we believed they were more experienced in that arena, we decided it wasn’t our place to change the way things were done.

In the short term, we did make them happy. We did things they liked, but in the end all of us were disappointed in the results.

Your results will always match your true intentions.

This means that if you want to know what is going on at the deepest level of your life and where your passion lies, look to your results. When your results are out of line with your stated intentions, look more deeply to discover your real intentions. Then work on realigning your real intentions to change your results, and  the way you experience life.

When your actions are aligned with your intentions you will create your world out of those intentions.

If you or someone you know has experienced a similar enlightening experience I encourage you to leave a comment and share your eye-opening moment.

# 5 –  Another perspective and update on the Grand Water Trine and other astrological happenings, this time from Tami Brunk’s newsletter at astrologyforearthrenewal.com…

We will blessedly continue to experience this Grand Water Trine through the coming week and remainder of July. At 11:31 am MDT, Jupiter was in an exact trine with Saturn. At 6:14 pm MDT, Jupiter will be exactly trine Neptune. And this Friday, the final aspect-Saturn Trine Neptune, will be exact.

Today’s Jupiter Trines occurs within the “time out of time” window of Uranus stationing retrograde. In fact, Uranus stationed just 10 minutes before the Jupiter Saturn Trine. We also happen to be at the tail end of the Mercury Retrograde cycle (it stations direct on Saturday)-so wowee zowee folks-this is a week of miracles and magic.

Jupiter Trine Saturn and Neptune

A Grand Trine in the Water Signs-Jupiter in Cancer, Saturn in Scorpio, and Neptune in Pisces-is a moment where we get to experience the ease and harmony in life, and ask ourselves-what might it mean to choose flow, to choose alignment, to actually allow Life to take us where our souls and spirits desire for us to go?

Today Jupiter moves resonantly with the energy of Saturn, and of Neptune, helping us feel the “good” sides” of both. Jupiter at ease with Saturn means that over the coming days we can focus our energy on manifestation in a very powerful way.

The way new life comes into form is through the In Breath or Contraction (Saturn) and the Out Breath or expansion (Jupiter). We are learning to dance with both.

Jupiter at ease with Neptune means that Higher Love comes down to earth and infuses our institutions of religion and higher learning with the innate knowledge that All is One.

If we want to get the most out of the next week, I can’t emphasize enough how powerful meditation, contemplative walks in nature, prayer, and other practices to get us in touch with Divine Revelation are at this time. They help to lay a strong spiritual foundation for the months to come.

Saturn Trine Neptune-Awakening the Dreamers

On Friday July 19 at 7:20 am MDT, Saturn Trines Neptune. I really love the implications of this, as an individual with lots of Neptune in my chart, but also lots of Saturn and Capricorn. Many of us emerging World Changers have bumped up against a particular dilemma that we sometimes get stuck on. I am going to guess that you, as my reader, have some of this tension in you, as well.

Dreamer

We often have high ideals and aspirations. We want to raise the vibration of the world we live in, and in our best moments we love everyone and everything-we see the world through the eyes of God. We want to live in the place of spiritual oneness and connection. We have a strong felt sense of what is possible in our world, and from the time we are very young, we are powerful dreamers and visionaries.

Yet we have been told from childhood that we daydream too much, that we are naïve, that the world doesn’t “work that way.” By adulthood, some of us are not totally crushed by this constant message that we are powerless and that dreams of change are illusions. We step into the world eagerly, with a mission to bring our visions into physical, manifest reality.

Yet it is frequently part of our initiation to have our hearts broken. We may even come to believe that the messages of cynicism and apathy handed down to us are true. For a while. Yet sooner or later life will stir that familiar longing in our hearts and we will awaken to the reality that the world depends on us, the dreamers. And so we root ourselves into the world as it is, and stretch our branches, and learn to connect the Above, and the Below.

For it is our destiny to become practical visionaries, to become effective doers with vision and a sacred calling. With Neptune and Saturn in a Trine on Friday, we are invited to use our practices of meditation, mindfulness, or other means of listening and receiving, to bring in and embody our destiny more powerfully than we ever have before.

When Flow Feels Like Crisis

On the OTHER hand, if we have been trying too hard to hold it together, to hold back the emerging changes, shifts, and transformations that are wanting to burst forth in our lives-well, this might not be an “easy” or purely good feeling time, yet in the long run, our “breakdown” is a breakthrough of life force energy, an opening where life can rush through and fill us, and awaken us, and help us to become more full of feeling, more a PART of life instead of APART from life.

# 6 – Hmmm, I’ll take the bed option, please Alex. :-)

“Death is an inevitable cycle. But sickness before death is a symptom of resistance. Most people think they’ve got to get sick to die. But, you could be like the cat who chooses to get run over. Or you could just lie down in your bed happily one night, so content and thoughtless, wanting nothing in this physical world; and just reemerge into Pure Positive Energy… You can play it out any way you choose.”—Abraham

Unworthiness & powerlessness, Love or Above event, path to well-being, plant “talk,” astrology update, and Abraham

(Sorry certain parts of this are all bunched up. Sometimes the WordPress post format seems to have a mind of its own and won’t use the spacing/paragraphing I input, no matter what I do. Ah, technology.)

TIPS FOR TODAY:

# 1 – An article by Gary Zukav about unworthiness and powerlessness…

UNWORTHINESS

What is unworthiness?  Of course, it is theUnworthinessawareness of a part of your personality that says to itself, “I am unworthy,” for example, I am unworthy of the love that I have in my life, or the wealth that I have, and more commonly, I am unworthy of the happiness that I feel.  Thoughts such as “It’s too good to be true, and “This can’t last forever because it is too good” are experiences of unworthiness.  You feel unworthy of what the Universe has given you, that you do not deserve it, that the other shoe will fall, and it is only a matter of time before you will get what you really deserve, which will be painful.
Unworthiness is all these things and more.  It is theinmost frightening thought that you do not belong, no matter how much you want to belong.  That you are an outsider and will always be an outsider.  It is the idea that you are flawed and cannot be fixed.  It is wanting to be loved and feeling unlovable, or wanting to love and feeling that you are not capable of loving.  It is the feeling that no matter what you do, it is not enough, that you are incurably inadequate, intrinsically and permanently flawed.  It is the fear of people seeing you as you really are, the belief that if they did, they would not want anything to do with you.
All this is the experience of unworthiness, and beneath all of this is the experience of powerlessness – of feeling powerless to be a real part of Life, to love, to be loved, to affect the world, to be heard, to be worth hearing or to have something worthy saying. It is self-loathing, self-hatred, and no matter how difficult this idea is to even consider, it will not leave you somewhere deep inside, and it is excruciating.  It is the most painful experience in the Earth school, and everyone shares it.  This is the pain of powerlessness. The pain of powerlessness has fueled our evolution.  It has caused us to reach outward continually, relentlessly, to change the world around us.  Pursuing external power – the ability to manipulate and control – has been our way of avoiding the pain of powerlessness.
Anything that we do to make ourselves feel worthy and safe is a flight from the pain of powerlessness.  Every pursuit of external power – every attempt to change the world or a person in order to make yourself feel valuable and safe – is a distraction from the pain of powerlessness.  All the distractions in the world cannot uproot the pain of powerlessness inside you.Our history is a chronicle of the ways that we have attempted to escape from the pain of powerlessness, or said the other way, the ways that we have pursued external power.  Tribes fight tribes, siblings fight siblings, nations invade nations, individuals strive to become stronger than one another, or more seductive, educated, wealthy, or famous.  The list is as long as it is familiar.  The pursuit of external power surrounds us everywhere.  We are continually attempting to mask the pain of powerlessness from ourselves, and others are continually doing the same.
Driving every avaricious banker, sexual predator, workaholic, perfectionist, and all attempts to exploit anything or anyone is fear of the pain of powerlessness and the need to escape it.Now that our perception is expanding beyond the five senses, we are becoming able to see the pursuit of external power for what it is and the futility of trying to escape the pain of powerlessness by changing the world.  This is our new emerging common perception:  to dismantle the control of the parts of our personalities that have controlled us for so long – such as anger, jealousy, vindictiveness, superiority, inferiority – we need to look inward, not outward.  We need to change ourselves instead of the world in order to liberate ourselves once and for always from the tormenting experiences of unworthiness.
Spiritual partners help one another recognize when a frightened part of the personality is active – when they are striving to mask the pain of powerlessness, for example, by becoming angry, jealous, or a victim.  When you are not aware that a frightened part of your personality is active, you forget that all is perfect.  You forget to relax and enjoy yourself.  You become serious, concerned, and overwhelmed.  If you were able to laugh with your spiritual partners, to say “I am doing it again.   A part of my personality is again feeling like the most unworthy person in the Universe,” then you could all laugh at this. The pain of powerlessness is now fueling our evolution in a very different way.  Instead of reaching outward to change the world in order to avoid it, we now look inward to experienceit, to change ourselves, to create authentic power, and we act on the healthiest parts our personality that we can access in the moment.
For example, we choose to act with patience when we are angry, or to act with appreciation when we are judging. This is a very big change.  It is a change in the way that humanity is evolving.  Our evolution now requires us to experience consciously all the painful impulses that have created all the painful consequences in our lives when we acted on them and then choose consciously to act instead from the healthiest, most wholesome parts of our personalities that we can access in the moment.  Each time we do this, we create authentic power.  When we create authentic power again and again, we become authentically powerful.  Each experience of unworthiness reminds us that now is the time to create authentic power.

# 5 – A first quarter moon and grand trine update from Henry Seltzer at astrograph.com….

Monday evening’s First Quarter Moon, taking place in the last decant ofLibra, is traditionally a time when the tension of the initiating lunar cycle peaks, so that we encounter a “crisis in action” as we attempt to move some factor in our lives further forward. In this case, with the Cancer emphasis, and under the reflectively inward orientation of the Cancer Mercury Retrograde period, it is inner rather than outer goals that resonate with us most strongly. Can you free yourself of outward diversions, enabling you to turn to the inside with awareness, with sympathy and with love? It is well said that in order to be able to reach out to others with compassion, we must first have a compassionate connection with ourselves, and at the deepest possible level.

It is a level that is difficult to reach. Like a deep-sea diver we need weights to find the depths we seek and to actually go down. The fruit of inner work is well worth the effort to harvest it; yet the Moon in Libra wants balance, and it wants partnership with others, and these are the beautiful distractions that can upset the apple cart. We must be, right now, spiritual warriors for our cause, which is to be enabled to simultaneously reach out to others, and inward to ourselves.

All this is especially poignant in view of the perfection of the grand trine between MarsJupiterSaturn andNeptune in water signs that takes place over the remainder of this week, as Mars catches up to Jupiter. This important week is also when Mercury is preparing to station to direct motion on Saturday, in trine with Chiron.Mercury moves less than a full degree between the Quarter Moon configuration of Monday evening and its station Saturday morning, July 20th, and as it does it gets closer and closer to a perfect trine with Chiron, the Wounded Healer, in the same degree of PiscesMercury is also the entire time in forming square with the powerfully intuitive factor of Uranus, stationing, and therefore far more potent, at 12-plus degrees of Aries.

We are drawn to our emotional depths, and to our inner wounding, and as well to our deeply non-verbal process of intuition. The prayer is that, as we are, we pay the closest possible attention to everything that is happening; and with the ideal firmly in our mind of acceptance and forgiveness, of others, and of ourselves.

The Sabian Symbols for the Sun and Moon in square with each other in this Quarter Moon configuration are provocative and mysterious. For the Moon: “A third wing on the left side of a butterfly,” and for the Sun: “A woman and two men on a bit of sunlit land facing South.” These images reinforce each other, and speak of inner concentration and connection that goes beyond the normal ways of the outer world. The butterfly, perfect as it is, has suddenly acquired a third wing, and on its left side, translated ‘sinister’ in Latin, referencing an occult, or deeply internalized, mode of operating. The woman, symbolic of soul, is, in the context of South — representing an inner, profoundly emotional, dimension — confronted with relationship choices, so that the entirety of these images symbolize facing both inner and outer perceptions and concerns.

As human beings we are multiform and dwell not only in logical, but also simultaneously in symbolic inner spaces. We do well to acknowledge this simple fact and strive to accept ourselves at these deeper levels of our being, where our very humanity might actually be found. We must not thereby abandon the physical world; far from it. The inner concentration that is currently strengthened within us can, paradoxically, enhance our outer experience and bring us into better alignment with our true power.

# 6 – Living a joyous life is simple, says Abraham….

“If all you did was just look for things to appreciate you would live a joyous, spectacular life. If there was nothing else that you ever came to understand other than just look for things to appreciate, it’s the only tool you would ever need to predominantly hook you up with who you really are. That’s all you’d need.“—Abraham
