Cell phone radiation, Gemini new moon/Summer Solstice, popcorn, a healthy summer treat, and a little Abraham on the side. :-)

# 1 – More you should know about cell phone radiation…

FYI, Vibes Up has some great products for off-setting EMFs and radiation and has a specific product called Nature’s Earth Armor, aka the “icky shield.” I don’t even have a cell phone, but have three “ickies” (love the name!) that I use for all sorts of things.

# 2 – A healthy summer treat for kids and adults…

I haven’t tried this yet, but plan to. If any of you readers try this recipe, let me know how it turns out. :-)

# 3 – Insights into the upcoming Gemini new moon and Summer Solstice period…

GEMINI NEW MOON: Breakthrough Time! by Simone Butler

Did you feel the June 5, 2012 Venus Transit? The love goddess was blessing us, as her energies filtered through the Sun’s rays to Earth. I felt like I was under a magical spell throughout the transit—and even made a date with a man who contacted me on a dating site at that exact time. However, I ignored the cardinal rule of Venus in retrograde, whether she’s transiting the Sun or not: These potent energies are for enhancing our own self-love, not for meeting new partners!

Predictably, the date was a bust. So, I read Mama Gena’s recent blog with interest. In it, the women’s empowerment guru admits to her unfulfilled yearning for a mate. How, she asks, do you stay spiritually alive when your desires are not yet fulfilled?

The answer, she says, is to recognize that the desire living inside you “is not just you, but a duet—between you and that which is greater than you. And this desire breaks you open, breaks you apart, and re-creates you into the woman you were born to become, that you never could have touched if you did not acknowledge or live your desire.”

The duet is symbolized by Gemini, sign of the Twins, associated with the Lovers card in the Tarot. Interestingly, Mama Gena (aka Regena Thomashauer) has both the Sun and Moon in Gemini. She instinctively understands the esoteric meaning of her sign—its call for union with the Divine. But she also acknowledges that the yearning can be painful, as it breaks us apart to birth us anew.

There is a great deal of Gemini energy afoot right now. Giant Jupiter has recently entered the dualistic sign of the Twins for a year, where it urges us to integrate our opposites. And, we’re about to experience a second New Moon in Gemini. The May 20 solar eclipse was at the very beginning of the sign, while the upcoming New Moon activates the final degrees.

The June 19 Gemini New Moon (8:02 a.m. PDT) sparks a breakthrough. As the “last gasp” of the sign, it reiterates the eclipse’s message about making a crucial choice. With Mercury (the Gemini ruler) square Saturn, one door is shutting so another, more productive one, can open. This applies to relationships, but also to how we treat ourselves. Adding extra potency, theNew Moon falls just prior to the Solstice, as the Sun enters nurturing Cancer on the 20th and a new season begins. And, with Saturn turning forward on June 25 and Venus doing the same on June 27, there is no going backward. It’s onward and upward to greater fulfillment!

Though she was not referring to the current astrological cycle, Mama Gena nailed its deeper meaning. “Our desires,” she said, “are divine and precious, not only to us, but to the earth herself. We are the bearers, the carriers, the holders of the longing that has the potential to transform the world. If we can hold the thought that our little human body, the address of our eternal soul, is the keeper of the delicate flame of desire, then we can relax and fall back into the storyline of our lives, knowing that our yearning will carry us safely, and sweetly, in perfect time, to fulfillment of the desire in some more wonderful way that we could have ever dreamed.”

And here’s part of an article by Dana Gerhardt….

“There is something to explore, right here, right now,” urged our Zen teacher. “Nowhere to go,” she said, “you’re already here.” And to each physical sensation or emotional wounding that came up, she would offer a Gemini message: “Get curious. Be with it. Observe it, without trying to manipulate it into anything else.” We all learned plenty that night.

As we head into the next few turbulent weeks of eclipses, silence may be the smartest way to get Gemini on our side. Not a dull silence, but an expectant one, fueled by fresh curiosity. Sit quietly with whatever is true right now. Whether you’re happy, sad, harried, wounded, or somewhere in between, before you ride on the wings of Mercury toward something new, and you will, because that’s what we do in Gemini’s cycle, sanctify your experience of this New Moon with some quiet curiosity.

And an in-depth look at the new moon, Uranus/Pluto cosmic dance, and other happenings from astrograph.com

The New Moon that comes along on Tuesday, June 19th, is an interesting one, being the second New Moon in the curious and thoughtful sign ofGemini, the Air sign most closely connected with intellection and communication. This introduces a long series of New Moons that take place near the end rather than the beginning of their respective signs, producing a more muted and also a more spiritual feel for the particular sign involved. This placement in late Gemini, called the Aquarius decanate (the last third of the sign) is really very different than the early degrees, being concerned with the ultimate result of thought process in terms of philosophical groundbreaking and social benefit, and indicating that it is now high time to put our actual money and our concerted actions wherever our deepest thought process might take us. This New Moonhappens just one day before the June 20th Summer Solstice, when the Cardinal sign of Cancer –oppositional to Pluto’s Capricorn placement – comes into its own.

Of course the big news this lunation is the UranusPluto square which is now extremely close, and fully triggered by this New Moon cycle. The First Quarter Moon a week further on, taking place on the 26th, makes a T-square with Pluto, and hence also with Uranus in Aries, so that this latter configuration represents one peak this year of the energy for Uranus– Pluto and the total revolution that their powerful square brings to the table. In this New Moon configuration there is thus the incipient T-square of Sun/Moon on the edge of Cancer with Pluto and Uranus. Meanwhile, Venus, retrograde and stationing in Gemini, also closely aspects the dynamic duo of these outer planets. Mercury participates, now in Cancer and widely opposed to Pluto. The Sun/Mercury midpoint at the time of the New Moon is closely opposed to Pluto and square with Uranus, being a mere 1 1/2 degrees away from exact, and is also exactly trine Chiron in Pisces. The Chironfactor is important, bringing as it does an increased awareness of the painful places inside ourselves; our pain in the face of difficult transformation and loss. In the end it allows us to dwell more deeply on the metamorphosis that is underway, regarding both its individual and its collective aspects, and that is still accelerating. We recognize that we lose something of ourselves in the process, which is bound to be scary. This however does not mean that we lose our spiritual grounding; this is the great comfort symbolized by the prominence as well in the current skies of Jupiter and Neptune.

As this New Moon cycle launches us further into the maelstrom, with the first exact hit of UranusPluto rapidly approaching, we do well to reflect on where we are in our lives and where ultimately headed. There is an important part of ourselves that is in the midst of radical change, and that as a result is likely to become forever lost to us, at least in its present condition. This is the action of Pluto, to make way for the new phase, our next stage as inspired by Uranus. It helps to reflect on where Capricorn and Aries fall in your individual chart, or indeed in your Solar Chart, where for Sagittarius, for example, Pluto lands in your second house of resources, with revelatory Uranus in your sector of creative self-expression. In the larger picture of the collective, the transformation that we might expect will be with government, power and control issues there, as well with re-constellating our very identity as a culture, as in the rebellion on various levels symbolized on our own national scene by the Occupy movement. Then there is the consciousness and human potential movement, reflected in the slogan that has lately become popular of “Occupy your Heart.” How we align with these various currents within our society will be one telling factor over the coming months and years, as we more fully explore the truth of what it means in this century to be human, and what it truly means to be nothing but ourselves.

# 4 – Who says popcorn can’t make the evolutionary process easier, especially if you have fun eating it?!

As a lover of popcorn, I was glad to find out it has these benefits I wasn’t aware of: http://www.naturalhealth365.com/food/popcorn.html

# 5 – Short and to the point from Abraham…

“Your work is to go forth into this physical environment looking for things that are a vibrational match to joy, connecting to Source Energy, and then following with the inspired action.”— Abraham
