# 2 – Go here and get a free download of the first 4 chapters of David Cameron Gikandi’s A Happy Pocket Full of Money book. A great read and no sign up necessary.
BTW, I ended up leaving a comment on the page saying I would also add the word “try” to Jeff’s list….to me it’s a little like “but”…already hedging your bets and paving the way for the possibility of not doing what you’re saying you’re going to try to do.
I would also lump “mistake” in there with “failure.” Will be glad when those two words and point of view start vanishing from our vocabularies and way of thinking. Often what on the surface may feel like, look like, or be judged as a mistake, ends up being something that catapults us forward or causes us to re-align ourselves and change and grow. If we were doing the best we could in the moment, and it (the “mistake” or “failure”) helped us learn what we’d do differently in the future, then is it really a mistake or a choice that brought growth and increased clarity?
Also, someone named David left a comment on the blog that contained a neat tip you may want to try…
“Really great post! Here’s a really cool thing I read somewhere: While saying “I can’t”, do something very simple that you know you can do. For example, hold your breath for 10 seconds, or anything else you CAN do, for a very short time. Then, increase the time, maybe by another 10 seconds, all the while saying “I can’t _____”. It acts like “negative” therapy, and it tricks your brain. After a while, you realize that saying “I can’t” doesn’t really mean anything.”
# 4 – All of you out there that have a message to share may be interested in this innvitation to a free call with Peggy McColl…
Once you’ve gone to all the trouble of writing a book it just makes sense to put in the little extra effort it takes to make it a bestseller. In fact it’s almost ESSENTIAL for anyone hoping to turn their book, their message, into a solid income-producing career of coaching, public speaking, and further publishing success.
You see … a book, by itself, is not a business. But when you can add “best-selling author” to your resume, you throw open the doors of possibility. The trouble is most authors have no clue how to do it! (And don’t expect your publisher to show you – most of THEM don’t know how, either.) But Peggy McColl sure does.
And on Tuesday, May 21st at 2pm or 7pm EST, you can join Peggy as she explains not only how to make YOUR book a bestseller (whether you’ve written it yet, or not) … but also how to use your new bestseller status as a springboard for spreading your message through speaking engagements, coaching programs, and more.…and hopefully make a VERY comfortable living from it, too! (As she does.)
If you’d like to see how it’s done, simply use this link to visit the registration page. (Yes, you do need to register even though it’s free because attendance is limited.)
You’ll also find more details on this event there, too.
Hit #1 spot on Amazon.com!
“Peggy is absolutely brilliant at what she does. She was the lead player in a campaign that saw The Saint, The Surfer and The CEO rise to the #1 spot on Amazon within hours. Listen to what she says — she’s a master.”- Robin Sharma, Bestselling Author of “The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari”
# 5 – And from Abraham…
“Let your alignment (with Well-Being) be first and foremost, and let everything else be secondary. And not only will you have an eternally joyous journey, but everything you have ever imagined will flow effortlessly into your experience. There is nothing you cannot be or do or have—but your dominant intent is to be joyful. The doing and the having will come into alignment once you get that one down.”

# 2 – I love being able to pass along good news about innovative products…
# 3 – We’re in the middle of an extraordinarily potent and transformative time period, astrologically-speaking, and to help explain why, here’s some info from Chris Flisher of http://www.chrisflisher.com about…
“The Time of the Signs”
As we enter into an intense period of forthcoming planetary activity we will have the perfect opportunity to see if the outer planets do, in fact, hold sway over our evolution. This poses an interesting question, especially for those who are on the fence about astrology. It may be easy to cast off astrology as silly, but what happens when it is accurate? What happens when you read your weekly report and it happens to be true? How do you explain themes in your life? And how can an astrologer know so much detail about you with a few simple facts about time and place? What then?
Astrologers were talking about many of our current events over two decades ago when we saw the entry of Pluto into Capricorn as a time when many of our biggest, most trusted structures would, in fact, crumble and either be rebuilt, or vanish. Things we once thought of as unshakeable have come under duress and are now falling down. This is classic Pluto in Capricorn activity. Pluto is the great transformer and, when in Capricorn, a cardinal earth sign, we can expect (as predicted) that large structures, institutions, and foundational entities to fall away and are no longer the secure structures we once thought. We have seen this repeatedly over the last decade as the banking industry, the government, the church, and other large institutions have come under much tighter scrutiny as they show their true colors with so much hidden, for so many years. We were duped. However, the truth always prevails. This is a universal fact and not the credo of any religious, political or philosophical view. Truth is basic and common to all. So where does that leave us?
This planetary activity is accompanied by the presence of Uranus in the sign of Aries. Since Aries is a cardinal sign (fire) it sits in a 90 degree angle to Pluto in Capricorn (cardinal earth). If we look at the astrology chart or wheel we see the current lineup of planets. Pluto is at 90 degrees to Uranus. This geometric relationship represents a challenge, or a step up. The 90 degree angle is one of the basic elements of architecture and all human structure. A simple set of stairs are constructed with 90 degree angles. The step is the best way to envision the challenges. As we move up the stair, lifting ourselves, we make progress through work and forward, upward motion. This is astrology.
What is the role of the planets in our daily lives? Many believe that they do nothing, and yet they are the only real constant that we have in our cosmic neighborhood. They have been there forever and their position does correlate with history, cycles, and recurring themes. In their inter-relationship we begin to see patterns that suggest a logical order and a predictable timing of events. When the Sun and Moon move into the sign of Cancer this summer we will again see another 90 degree angle of cancer (cardinal water) to Aries (cardinal fire) and opposing Pluto at 180 degrees. Events are triggered by the sharp angles and again, we take a step.
This is also true when an astrology chart is cast, based on birth date/place/time. Themes do exist in our lives and they are apparent from the time of our birth. We are born with characteristics, personalities, assets and liabilities, all of which, present us with unique challenges and opportunities. Whether we choose to acknowledge them in terms of time and place is the line between what we see as real and that which we see as impossible. When we stretch our minds to entertain that which may appear unlikely, we may be surprised by a universal logic that supersedes our limited view. This is verifiable each and every week as we see events unfold in a pattern related to the motion of our universe. This is the time of the signs.
Week of May 6th
A dramatic week ahead as a new Moon Solar eclipse occurs at 19 degrees Taurus. Eclipses bring all sorts of corrections and surprises our way. This particular eclipse finds fiery Mars, talkative Mercury, and of course our emotional well-spring, the Moon, deep in the middle of the Taurus event. We can expect the rhetoric to be quite inflaming and even hostile. Again, stubborn is the word. Cold, hard facts are immoveable. This is an incredibly fervent area where the problems that brought us here may have come to a screeching halt. The train is coming off the tracks and the responsibility lies in the hands of the large banks. They must be held accountable for the economic mess they have wrought on the world’s financial security. The bubble has been falsely inflated and we may wake up to find that the bubble has popped. What does that look like? How does this machine keep on working? Will there be transparency? How do we repair this?
(For more about this eclipse period and how it may be impacting your particular sun sign, check out Susan Miller’s Astrology Zone, a tip I got by way of Kaneitha at Heavenly Guidance.)
# 4 - A heart-warming story of the difference one person made in two dogs lives and a way you can support the cause…
“Take the time to line up the Energy first, and action becomes inconsequential. If you don’t take the time to line up the Energy, if you don’t find the feeling place of what you’re looking for, not enough action in the world will make any difference.”—Abraham

# 2 – A great tradition! May we all remember our song and find people who are willing to sing it with us, to us, and for us!
A Child’s Song By Alan Dana CohenThere is a tribe in Africa where the birth date of a child is counted not from when they were born, nor from when they are conceived but from the day that the child was a thought in its mother’s mind. And when a woman decides that she will have a child, she goes off and sits under a tree, by herself, and she listens until she can hear the song of the child that wants to come. And after she’s heard the song of this child, she comes back to the man who will be the child’s father, and teaches it to him. And then, when they make love to physically conceive the child, some of that time they sing the song of the child, as a way to invite it. And then, when the mother is pregnant, the mother teaches that child’s song to the midwives and the old women of the village, so that when the child is born, the old women and the people around her sing the child’s song to welcome it. And then, as the child grows up, the other villagers are taught the child’s song. If the child falls, or hurts its knee, someone picks it up and sings its song to it. Or perhaps the child does something wonderful, or goes through the rites of puberty, then as a way of honoring this person, the people of the village sing his or her song. In the African tribe there is one other occasion upon which the villagers sing to the child. If at any time during his or her life, the person commits a crime or aberrant social act, the individual is called to the center of the village and the people in the community form a circle around them. Then they sing their song to them. The tribe recognizes that the correction for antisocial behavior is not punishment; it is love and the remembrance of identity. When you recognize your own song, you have no desire or need to do anything that would hurt another. And it goes this way through their life. In marriage, the songs are sung, together. And finally, when this child is lying in bed, ready to die, all the villagers know his or her song, and they sing—for the last time—the song to that person. You may not have grown up in an African tribe that sings your song to you at crucial life transitions, but life is always reminding you when you are in tune with yourself and when you are not. When you feel good, what you are doing matches your song, and when you feel awful, it doesn’t. In the end, we shall all recognize our song and sing it well. You may feel a little warbly at the moment, but so have all the great singers. Just keep singing and you’ll find your way home. —

# 5 – Joy your way to joy!
“Life is supposed to be fun. You said, “I’ll go forth and choose. I’ll look at the data, and I’ll say yes to this and yes to this and yes to this; and I’ll paint a picture of the things that I want, and I’ll vibrate about them because that’s what I’m giving my attention to. And the Universe will respond to my vibration. And then I’ll stand in a new place where a whole new batch of yeses are available, and I’ll say yes to this and yes to this and yes to this.” You did not say, “I’ll go forth and struggle into joy,” because from your Nonphysical Perspective you know it is vibrationally not possible. You cannot struggle to joy. Struggle and joy are not on the same channel. You joy your way to joy. You laugh your way to success. It is through your joy that good things come.”— Abraham

# 4 – First quarter moon and other astrological happenings from astrograph.com…
The First Quarter Moon, taking place early on Thursday morning, traditionally marks a time of increased tension and a phase of difficulty in putting our goal kick across the line. This is a time when, on the highway to the fulfillment of our New Moon desire, the rubber truly meets the road; when we get to see the drawbacks and the limitations to our schemes and dreams, and when the seed idea that looked so good in its abstract perfection must be tested, tried and potentially adjusted in the heat of actual circumstance. With this particular quarter moon, each side of the equation is remarkably strong. In this case the configuration involves Mars in conjunction with the Sun, giving us plenty of contentious go power, and also involves an amplification of the disruptive factor of limiting Saturn in contrasting aspect with tricksterUranus, symbolizing both pushing forward and holding back from our original vision. This is also a period when the urge for relationship is strong, now heralded by the entrance a couple of days back of Venus into its own sign of Taurus. As the pattern of tension represented by this quarter moon perfects, Venusstrongly sextiles dreamy Neptune, bringing idealism, as well as the urgency of Mars, to love affairs and partnership activities, while simultaneously closing in on an opposition aspect to the resistance represented bySaturn. At the same time, Mercury begins to closely conjunct the trickster energy of Uranus. The next few days are interesting, as Mercury, the messenger of the gods, symbolizing communication and mental function, merges with the startling enlightenment of Uranus on Saturday, April 20th. Our thoughts radiate out in all directions toward an exciting but uncertain landing place.By Monday, which is also Earth Day, Venus exactly opposes Saturn, representing practical limitations. It therefore becomes more difficult, and also more lasting, to pledge connection to each other. Over the course of these next few days, a value is placed on limitation itself, as meaningfully embodied in the collective focus of Earth Day for the inherent limits involved with mankind’s extended exploitation of the Earth’s resources. The pressure to move forward with our own inner evolutionary agenda becomes intense as well over these next four weeks, as Uranus and Pluto are closing also on their dynamic aspect with each other, in recognizable closeness of intensity, within 2 degrees, as they head toward perfect fulfillment next month. They come into their exact square on Monday May 20th.Thursday’s First Quarter Moon contains some very appropriate markers for our era. As the Sun and Moon collide in their own twice-monthly square, this time at the endings of the Cardinal signs of Aries and Cancer, the Sabian symbols of their pause for recognition are significant, at the 29th degree of their respective signs. For the Sun ”A celestial choir, singing” and for the Moon ”A muse weighing new-born twins on golden scales” to which Marc Edmond Jones gave the keyword Value — as he identifies this symbol with “effectiveness of judgment irrespective of momentary contradictions on every hand.”The trials and the adjustments to our relationships, and to ourselves, that this crossroads represents are stimulating and also a test of our moral fiber. We are likely to become naturally more aware of where we shine and where, indeed, we are stuck. And this knowledge, like a dual sword, can be difficult and yet also help us to grow in experience, understanding and character. May we be weighed by our higher selves according to our best intentions and not found wanting in the heat of the moment that we now inhabit, we dwellers on the very cusp of massive change.
At the free online Inspiring Women Summit, which begins April 20, you’ll have the opportunity to learn from top transformational leaders like Seane Corn, Barbara Marx Hubbard, and Marianne about how we pioneer this new feminine path together. You’ll also connect with amazing sisters from around the world. Get all the details here.
They’ll be sharing the secrets of their spiritual, creative, relationship and professional success inservice to a larger vision of co-creating a new
world.

# 5 – An astrology update from Chris Flisher of chrisflisher.com. Sounds like we may be in for a wild ride…
Week of April 15, 2013
The third week of April brings an enormous, almost unbelievable, contribution to history. The number of significant, impactful events that have occurred at this time of year is startling. The Lincoln Assassination (4/14/1865), the sinking of the Titanic (4/14/1912), the Oklahoma bombing (4/20/1995), Waco, Texas (4/20/1993), the birthday of Adolf Hitler (4/20/1889) all occurred in and around the third week of April. Simply incredible. This year brings a certain drama with it as well. A Full Moon Lunar eclipse will occur next week on the 25th, but we could be feeling the impact as soon as this week. We will witness the Sun and Mars entering Taurus on Saturday as Mercury and Uranus align while squaring Pluto at the same time. The conjoining of Mercury and Uranus brings an electrical potential of the highest order. Since Uranus typically vibrates at a higher octave of Mercury, that same sort of sparky, communicative, impulsivity exists. All of this activity sets the stage for a full Moon lunar eclipse next week at 6 degrees Scorpio.

Source understands that you never get it done and you cannot get it wrong, and that even when you stand in a place that currently feels wrong, ultimately you will return to what feels right. # 4 – Astrograph.com’s take on the Aries new moon and other configurations. Love the Sabian symbol analogy at the end…
The New Moon in late Aries, taking place early on Wednesday morning, is a special one. It is accompanied by a triple conjunction of Mars, Venus and the new planet, Eris, making a total of six planets in Aries counting Sun and Moon, since Uranus also resides at the 10th degree of Aries in forming square with Pluto. The new dwarf planet, Eris, is a feminine warrior energy, and so is quite a fitting accompaniment for Mars and Venus in conjunction only a few degrees away. We therefore have a distinct focus on relationship now, and a coming together of masculine and feminine elements in pursuit of better connections, both romantic and non-romantic, between us all. Justly is it said that we need each other in order that we begin, as a culture, to truly shine.
With a focus on relationship at the center of this New Moon, the entire lunar cycle that begins with this configuration is colored by it, so that the remainder of April and into May could be termed a “relationship month.” We might want to ask ourselves where we could do more to connect over to the other side of our own particular gender; where as masculine players we might try to adopt a softer approach, and where, as softer more feminine beings of either physical gender, we might — in connection with the masculine — employ more assertive techniques and state our actual needs. In this way we could find ourselves better able to connect with friends, and with partners, and with perhaps neglected parts of ourselves.
It was the amazing psychologist and philosopher C. G. Jung who first formulated that all persons of a typical gender, such as the masculine, contained within themselves an opposite gender part that was desperately craving to be recognized and accepted as a valid piece of the intriguing puzzle of one’s deeper nature. In a man, he termed this the Anima, or feminine soul within, and in a woman, the Animus. These disinherited parts are very commonly projected onto a partner, and the astrology of an individual chart gives insight as to their hidden qualities, and the likely characteristics of the person to whom that individual would be attracted. But it is better yet when these choices are more conscious, and when an integration can take place between these various parts.
We get an interesting picture of this when we examine the Sabian symbols for the Sun and Moon, in contrast with the symbols for Venus and Mars. For the New Moon, “A pugilist entering the ring” — a very masculine image — while for the others “A woman in pastel colors carrying a valuable load” and “An open window, a net curtain, blowing into a cornucopia,” which Marc Edmond Jones refers to as “joyful realization” and “an irrepressible genius for capturing the richer rewards of life.” Together these could signify the enhanced possibilities of an integration between the masculine and feminine sides of our natures.
With Mercury still in Pisces, and in aspect to both Mars and Venus at the time of this New Moon configuration, it is thus an excellent time to continue observing all that we do with regard to our relationship partners. We might be able to catch ourselves in the act of habitual patterns that have outlived their usefulness, or perhaps give each other a break at a moment when we had been about to deny one.
Want a more poetic take on the Aries energies at play?
# 5 – I’ve used this quote from Abraham before, but it’s one of my favorites and a good one to keep in mind, so here we go again…

# 4 – The new moon this month takes place on 3/11 at 3:51pm EDT, at almost 22 degrees Pisces, and here’s an article by Dana Gerhardt of mooncircles.com that provides insight into what that sign is all about. It’s titled Call & Response: Pisces New Moon…
Calling Pisces
Pisces plays the mandolin and wears sky blue shirts that smell like lavender or sometimes roses. When he visits, you might hear snow melting. Tulips and daffodils poke their heads above ground to greet him, while starlings dream of their future: finding a soul mate, nest-building, teaching their young to fly. Pisces’ mother used to worry about him. He’d spend long hours alone in his room. Whenever she pressed her ear to the door, holding a bowl of soup or grilled cheese sandwiches, she would hear strange voices, sometimes sobbing, maybe a violin, or a trilling bird. One year he drew a thousand portraits of clouds. Next year he took up face painting, until every kid in the neighborhood had become twelve fantastic animals. The year after that he spoke just one word: “Ah.” He studied poetry and took long naps in college. Later he tried the corporate world, but missed too many meetings. One day he kidnapped the shipping department and took them to a matinee just before Fed-Ex arrived.
Pisces says that life’s too short and there’s important non-work to do. “Each day listen to your desires and follow them exclusively. That’s the wisdom of flow.” I’m suspicious: “How would anything get done?” His eyes grow wide and mirthful, as if to say “You’ll see when you finally try it!” I’d like to, for when I spend time with Pisces, my worries exhaust into a peaceful sigh, like petals releasing from a tired rose. At night Pisces tells me to sit in a dark room with a single candle for at least two hours. If I stay there long enough, I don’t know who I am anymore. Yet my heart grows as big as the world.
Let your heart likewise expand this cycle. Let your imagination run free. Business can take care of itself. The cherry trees are in bloom. You might be yearning for a little poetry or the delicious escape of a movie marathon. You may get lost in the sound of a symphony or the gentle touch of silk. Can you let yourself drift and dream? Soon enough the Equinox will be calling you to action. Next month brings the Warrior’s New Moon. Prepare now by first drawing closer to your soul.
If you stir dirt into a glass of water, it gets murky. But if the glass sits for awhile, the dirt will settle and the water will clear. Something similar happens to the mind inmeditation, which is another fine way to meet this New Moon. Sit. Come to stillness. Wait at Pisces’ door like an initiate at the gates of a great teacher. Without expectations, enter the void. This is the end of the zodiac; all signs are contained within it. Perhaps you can sense this, how harmoniously Pisces holds everything and dissolves everything, how this readies us for the Aries adventures to come.
Of course, no matter how dreamy we might like our lives to be, there’s always some unpleasantness. Sure as there are fairies making everything right, there are complainers making everything wrong. How do we respond? Pisces can inspire our most saintly self—or our most victimized. When you’re unconscious of its gifts, Pisces will make you whine: “Poor me!” or “Why me?” Remember that unhappy dinner last night? Maybe the sesame chicken was too dry. Maybe the salad dressing was bottled instead of fresh. Or maybe your dinner date never showed up. Pisces only wants you to understand that everything was just perfect.
Pisces’ Response
Waiting for Pisces to appear is the fun part. No way can I predict his costume. But if you find yourself wandering into rooms for reasons you forgot, if you feel the urge to float for hours in the bathtub, or to take a long drive to nowhere, Pisces may be present, trying to get you to pause, listen, and come into this moment, where he promises you’ll find everything. Pay attention to your nightly dreams. Listen to your daytime fantasies. These are the expressions of your soul. Can you read their language? In the weeks ahead, you might find yourself suddenly weeping, overwhelmed with compassion, for the orphans in Kabul, the Libyan widow, the bankrupt yoga teacher, or the tense soldier prowling volatile streets on the other side of the world. This cycle may we all find, on our fragile spinning globe some grace, some power, the hand of sweet guidance. Call it faith or hope; both belong to Pisces. And let’s join with Swami Beyondananda in his prayer to the hot dog vendor: “Make me one with everything.”
And another take on the new moon and the current astrological line-up, this time from astrograph.com…
Monday’s New Moon represents a welcome respite from the emotional entanglements of the Pisces line-up of the proceeding week. While many planets remain in Pisces, including obviously the Sun and Moon, the configuration has changed so that Chiron is not so prominent as recently. Also, with the energy shifting forward, there is now less emphasis on introspection. While the value of living in the dark over this past week has been evident in terms of the insights gained, with this new configuration it is time to make a move toward a new direction.
Of course, Mercury is still retrograde, and therefore still bringing an introspective framework to the planetary conversation in this new phase. Also, Mercury in retrograde aspects Chiron, as do Pluto and Saturn. Jupitersquares the Mercury/Chiron midpoint. The archetype of the Wounded Healer is still very much with us in altered form. I would say that the Chironic impulse, that is the mental reflex to question ourselves and to seek to understand our inner wounding, has reached a more universal level.
There is also extraordinary emphasis on Pluto in the 12th degree of Capricorn with Saturn and Chiron in tight sextile and with the Sun and Moon in quintile to that degree. Chiron with Pluto - and with retrograde Mercury - in this context represents the pain of recognizing how distant as a society we are from cosmic purpose. The ideal of divine love is very much in the forefront of our consciousness, every day. And yet the reality on the ground is very far from that ideal
It is also important to note that Venus, while still connected to retrograde Mercury by a parallel aspect, has moved past Chiron and is now much closer the degree of Pisces where the Sun and Moon collide. The emphasis on Venus, without Chiron and with the Sun and Moon in conjunction, is more outgoing and continues to convey the recognition of the overriding importance of love and relationship in our lives to help to see us through. We might be able, in spite of the many distractions, to sense within us our ability to re-dedicate ourselves to this ideal of cosmic love; the rewards are great for so doing.
The Sabian Symbol for this New Moon degree, the 22nd degree of Pisces, is: “A man bringing down the new law from Sinai.” This symbol, couched in terms that were familiar to the medium who channeled these symbols back in 1922, refers to a new mandate for a universal moral code based on a different system of understanding; therefore to the coming of a more holistic approach to life and living, through the principle of universal love. This has come to be known by many names in our current setting, all reflecting a fundamental changing of the guard.
We live in perilous, fraught, and exciting times. We are witnessing nothing less than the thorough-going transformation of our society, here in the West but also world-wide since we live in what is indeed rapidly becoming a truly global civilization. As a famous sage once said, we must remember that chaos always precedes new birth. So as we go through our difficult days with the recognition of everything around us falling apart, we can therefore take heart: do not dwell on the chaos, but await the birth.
# 5 – And food for thought from Abraham…
“Don’t get lost in the diagnosis, the medicine, or in the statistics about what somebody else did about it. If you don’t feel good, it’s because you’re not thinking in a way that allows the Energy to flow. You could just get really, really mad at someone you love and make every muscle in your body stiff. And you would ask,”Why does my body feel this way?” And we say, because you’ve had a Vibrational tug-of-war going on…Stop looking for anything other than your mental and emotional state of being as answers to why you feel how you feel in your body. It is all Vibrational – no exception! And when you get that, then it doesn’t matter what diagnosis has been given to you – it doesn’t matter – it’s temporary.”— Abraham
